Location: Sundarbans Delta Region, West Bengal

Reporting to: Project Coordinator / Project Manager To provide high-quality, center-based speech therapy services for children with disabilities through structured individual and group sessions. This role involves conducting assessments,

developing individualized therapy plans, engaging caregivers for home-based support, and maintaining accurate documentation. The candidate is expected to collaborate with educators, other professionals, and community workers; actively participate in awareness and review meetings; and periodically travel to outreach locations to ensure holistic care and

Responsibilities

- Conduct speech and language assessments for children with disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct specialist therapy through intensive individual and group therapy sessions.
- Guide and train caregivers, parents, and other professionals on early identification,
- Evaluate children and establish language-rich, stimulating environments for children
- Use play to facilitate communication development, improve sentence structure,

enhance social communication, and develop pragmatic language skills.
- Work closely with parents, providing education, guidance, and practical strategies to





support the child s development at home.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, educators, occupational therapists, physical

therapists, and other specialists to share information, coordinate interventions, and address the child s unique needs holistically.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including initial assessments and treatment goals,

progress reports, session records and milestone tracking, session logs and monthly

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology or

equivalent degree from a recognized institution with two years of relevant experience
- Must possess valid registration from the qualified regulatory body, as applicable

Skills:
- Patience and empathy with children
- Good listening and observation skills
- Clear communication (with children, parents, and teams)
- Cultural sensitivity, especially in rural or low-resource settings
- Strong communication skills in Kannada/Hindi; basic English preferred
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate with staff at all levels
- Willingness to travel to community centers
- Flexible approach to work demands
