What You’ll Build

- Design and architect our core backend platform using Java and Node.js
- Establish concurrency and async patterns as first-class design principles
- Define service boundaries, API standards, and data modeling philosophy
- Architect database schemas optimized for scale and long-term maintainability
- Build real-time communication systems (WebSockets, streaming APIs)
- Establish observability, reliability, and production-readiness standards




- Create documentation and technical guidelines for future engineers
- Help shape hiring standards for backend engineers

What You Must Bring

- 2-4 years of backend engineering experience
- Deep expertise in Node.js and/or Java
- Strong fluency with event loop internals, async/await orchestration, concurrency patterns
- Experience with worker threads, clustering, multithreading & multiprocessing strategies
- Solid database architecture experience (PostgreSQL / MySQL / MongoDB)
- Expertise in schema design, indexing strategy, query optimization
- Experience building real-time systems using WebSockets
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design (caching, queues, scaling patterns)
- Experience debugging complex production issues
