Role Description The Software Asset Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. This role is responsible for managing the organization’s software assets throughout their lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, usage tracking, and retirement.

The Software Asset

Manager will monitor license usage, ensure software compliance with vendor agreements and regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate asset inventories and documentation. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing software utilization data, identifying optimization opportunities,



supporting audits, collaborating with IT and procurement teams, and implementing best practices for IT and software asset management. The role also involves preparing reports for management, recommending cost-saving measures, and contributing to the development of policies and procedures that govern software assets.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Software Asset Management and IT Asset Management.
- Strong skills in License Management and Software Compliance, including experience with vendor contracts and audits.
- Solid Analytical Skills for interpreting usage data, identifying trends, and proposing optimization strategies.
- Experience working with asset management tools or ITSM platforms is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of software licensing models and industry standards related to software governance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a energetic environment.
