Role OverviewProvate is looking for a SOC Analyst with 1–3 years of experience to join our cybersecurity team in Hyderabad.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Splunk and CrowdStrike Falcon and a strong interest in security monitoring, alert investigation, incident response, and threat detection.

You will work as part of the SOC team to monitor, investigate, and respond to security events across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and triage security alerts using Splunk SIEM and CrowdStrike Falcon.
- Investigate security alerts and determine true positives, false positives, and potential security incidents.
- Perform endpoint investigations using CrowdStrike Falcon.
- Analyze and correlate security events and logs using Splunk.
- Develop and use Splunk SPL queries for security investigations and event correlation.
- Investigate suspicious processes, files, network connections, user activity, and endpoint behavior.
- Perform IOC investigation and enrichment, including IP addresses, domains, URLs, and file hashes.
- Investigate phishing, malware, suspicious authentication, and endpoint-related security events.
- Identify and analyze indicators of compromise and suspicious activity.




- Escalate confirmed or high-severity incidents according to SOC procedures.
- Maintain detailed incident tickets, investigation timelines, and documentation.
- Follow SOC playbooks, procedures, and incident response processes.
- Support threat hunting and detection improvement activities.
- Assist senior analysts with complex security investigations.
- Participate in shift handovers and maintain incident continuity.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attacker techniques.

Required Skills & Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in SOC / Cybersecurity Operations.
- Hands-on experience with Splunk SIEM is required.
- Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike Falcon is required.
- Working knowledge of Splunk SPL for alert investigation and event correlation.
- Experience investigating security alerts and incidents.
- Understanding of endpoint security and EDR concepts.
- Good understanding of:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- HTTP/HTTPS
- Windows security fundamentals
- Authentication and identity events
- Firewall and endpoint logs
- Understanding of common cybersecurity threats and attack techniques.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK; is an advantage.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, documentation,



and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 SOC / rotational shift environment, if required.

Good to Have
- Experience with CrowdStrike Falcon investigations and threat hunting.
- Experience creating or modifying Splunk correlation searches.
- Knowledge of threat intelligence and IOC enrichment.
- Exposure to phishing and email security investigations.
- Exposure to SOAR or security automation.
- Basic scripting knowledge using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CEH, SC-200, Splunk certifications, or equivalent.
