Job Role: SMO Trainer – Sewing Machine OperatorJob Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced SMO (Sewing Machine Operator) Trainer to provide theoretical and practical training to candidates in sewing machine operation, garment production, stitching techniques, and workplace safety. The trainer will be responsible for developing candidates' technical skills and preparing them for employment in the garment and apparel industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver theoretical and practical training on Sewing Machine Operation.
- Train candidates on operating different types of sewing machines, including single-needle, overlock, and other industrial machines.
- Demonstrate basic stitching, seams, hemming, joining, and garment construction techniques.
- Train candidates on machine setup, threading, needle changing, bobbin handling, and basic machine maintenance.
- Explain fabric types, measurements, cutting basics, and garment production processes.
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, PPE, and workplace safety practices.
- Train candidates on quality standards, defect identification, and rework procedures.
- Conduct practical demonstrations, assessments, and skill evaluations.
- Maintain trainee attendance, assessment records, batch documentation, and required MIS.




- Support candidates in developing workplace discipline, communication, productivity, and employability skills.
- Coordinate with the placement team to support candidates in securing employment in the garment industry.
- Ensure training delivery as per the prescribed curriculum, quality standards, and project requirements.

Preferred Qualification & Experience
- ITI/Certificate/Diploma in Fashion Design, or relevant trade.
- Relevant experience in garment manufacturing, apparel production, or industrial sewing operations.
- Prior experience as a Sewing Machine Operator Trainer will be an added advantage.
- Good communication and practical demonstration skills.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
