About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Shift Electrician to join our Rubber Manufacturing plant in Ambad MIDC, Nashik. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and protected operation of electrical equipment and systems during assigned shifts.

The role requires hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, motors, electrical panels, control systems, and plant machinery.

Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Maintenance

- Perform routine electrical maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems, panels, motors, cables, switches, sensors, and control circuits.
- Ensure electrical equipment remains in safe and working condition.
- Attend to electrical maintenance activities during assigned shifts.

1. Breakdown & Troubleshooting

- Attend electrical breakdowns and respond promptly to machine stoppages.
- Diagnose faults using electrical drawings, testing instruments, and practical troubleshooting techniques.
- Troubleshoot issues related to motors, contactors, relays, starters, VFDs, sensors, control panels, and other electrical components.
- Minimize machine downtime by identifying and rectifying faults effectively.
- Escalate major or recurring electrical problems to the Maintenance Engineer/Supervisor.

1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Perform corrective maintenance as per plant requirements.
- Check motor health, electrical connections, cable condition, panel components, and control systems.
- Assist in identifying potential electrical failures before they lead to breakdowns.
- Maintain proper records of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

1. Machine & Equipment Maintenance

- Handle electrical maintenance of rubber manufacturing machinery and associated equipment.
- Work on industrial motors, pumps, compressors, heaters, panels, control circuits,



and utility equipment.
- Monitor machine electrical performance and report abnormalities.
- Assist in installation, testing, commissioning, and modification of electrical equipment whenever required.

1. Control Panels & Automation

- Troubleshoot electrical control panels and control circuits.
- Understand basic industrial automation and PLC-related electrical systems.
- Check sensors, proximity switches, limit switches, relays, contactors, timers, and other control components.
- Coordinate with automation/instrumentation teams for PLC or control-related issues where required.

1. Safety & Compliance

- Strictly follow electrical safety procedures and plant safety rules.
- Ensure proper isolation/LOTO procedures before working on electrical equipment.
- Use appropriate PPE and electrical safety tools.
- Maintain safe working conditions around electrical panels and machinery.
- Immediately report unsafe electrical conditions, damaged cables, exposed wires, or other hazards.
- Follow company policies related to EHS, housekeeping, and maintenance safety.

1. Shift Operations

- Take proper handover from the previous shift and communicate pending maintenance issues.
- Monitor critical electrical equipment during the shift.
- Attend emergency breakdowns and restore equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain shift maintenance logs and breakdown reports.
- Coordinate with Production and Mechanical Maintenance teams to resolve machine-related issues.

Required Technical Skills The candidate should have practical knowledge of:
- Industrial electrical maintenance
- 3-phase electrical systems
- AC/DC motors
- Motor starters and contactors
- MCC / PCC / electrical distribution panels
- VFD / inverter basics
- Relays, timers, overload relays, MCBs, MCCBs, etc.
- Control circuits and electrical drawings
- Sensors and limit/proximity switches
- Cable termination and electrical connections




- Preventive and breakdown maintenance
- Basic PLC troubleshooting
- Electrical testing instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter, megger, etc.
- Industrial electrical safety and LOTO

Educational Qualification
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering can also be considered.
- ITI Electrical candidates with strong industrial maintenance experience may be considered based on skill and experience.

Experience
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Experience in manufacturing / rubber / plastics / automotive / chemical / engineering plants will be preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in shift maintenance and breakdown handling will have an advantage.

Working Conditions
- Full-time employment on company payroll.
- Work location: Ambad MIDC, Nashik, Maharashtra.
- Rotational shift working may be required.
- Candidate should be comfortable working in a manufacturing/plant environment.
- Emergency breakdown support may occasionally be required depending on plant operations.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: As per candidate's experience, technical skills, and interview performance.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
