Job Purpose

Job Context and Challenges

Mouda Plant Since inception is in FRP business Commenced operations in 1994 as a unit of pennar Aluminium. Mouda unit was a sick unit under BIFR Act since 1998. Hindalco acquired the assets of PALCO, from ARCIL under SARFASI Act . Being a Sick Unit for a long time, the unit has lagged behind in development of valuable management practices.

It is a major challenge to turn around this unit into a profitable unit. As well now Mouda is in a massive growth path and entering in Foil business which requires special skill set and total change of mind set and flexibility as per the needs of the business as most of the clients are from Pharmaceuticals Food industries. In coming couple of years the existing manpower will be doubled.

Job Challenges

Change in the mind set of employees. Lack of union leadership. Contain the employment cost. Retaining enhancing technical skills through continuous education / learning and training. Develop implement Succession plan for key position. Educating the Union Leadership.

Maintain Motivated

Workforce to enhance Productivity. Maintain transparency continuous Communication.

Key Result Areas (KRA)

- KRA1: Strategy Planning. Prepare action plan, to cover all workmen; inform workmen regarding health status, and to provide medical treatment / health counselling. Plan for Industrial hygiene studies as and when required.



Recommend corrective actions. Implement statutory compliances, by maintaining all records. Conducting industrial hygiene studies (noise, dust, illumination, heat stress, etc.).

Maintain Health

Centre, records.

- KRA2: Periodic Medical Checkup. Arranging for specialized and institutional treatment. Monitor periodically the health status of vulnerable groups of employees. Health monitor cards to employees suffering from chronic illnesses.

- KRA3: Improve employee effectiveness. To conduct health awareness lectures, programs; Counselling to reduce stress and awareness regarding complications of diseases. Identify employees from various departments. Health counselling / training / Health Talks. Immunization, deaddiction motivate lifestyle changes. Train workmen in imparting First aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

- KRA4: IMS Statutory compliance. To keep all documents related to statutory compliances updated. Closure of all NCRs /observations raised during internal external audits. Ensure participation in First aid and CPR training.
