Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead service operations, ensure efficient customer support, manage service teams, and drive quality and continuous improvement initiatives for chiller and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage end-to-end service and after-sales operations for chillers and refrigeration systems.
2. Lead, manage, and develop the service engineering and technical team.
3. Plan and monitor preventive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance activities.
4. Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
5. Coordinate with customers, sales, production, and technical teams for smooth service delivery.
6. Monitor service quality, turnaround time, customer satisfaction, and team performance.
7. Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and operational standards.
8. Identify recurring technical issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
9. Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives within service operations.
10. Prepare and review service reports, MIS, maintenance records, and performance metrics.
11. Manage service-related costs, manpower utilization, and resource planning.

Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for chiller systems.
13. Ensure proper documentation, processes, and service management systems are followed.

Required Skills

1. Strong knowledge of Chillers, Refrigeration, HVAC systems, and industrial cooling equipment.
2. Experience in service operations and team management.
3. Strong leadership and people-management skills.
4. Good understanding of quality management and continuous improvement.
5. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles will be an advantage.
6. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
7. Good customer handling and communication skills.
8. Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
9. Proficiency in service management systems, MS Excel, and reporting tools.

Candidate Profile

1. 7–10 years of relevant experience in service/after-sales operations.
2. Experience in Chiller / HVAC / Refrigeration / Industrial Cooling Equipment is preferred.
3. Candidates with experience handling service teams and regional operations will be preferred.
4. Robust leadership, analytical, and customer-management capabilities.
5. Willingness to travel as required for customer/service requirements.
