We are looking for an experienced and technically robust Service Manager to lead our service operations for powder handling and process equipment.

The candidate will be responsible for managing installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, breakdown support, preventive maintenance, warranty, AMC and customer service, while ensuring equipment reliability, customer satisfaction and service profitability.

Key Responsibilities1. Service Operations

- Plan, organize and control field service activities.
- Manage installation, commissioning, warranty and AMC services.
- Ensure timely response and closure of breakdown calls and customer complaints.
- Plan service schedules, manpower allocation and site readiness.
- Develop and implement service SOPs, checklists and work instructions.

2. Team Leadership

- Lead and manage service engineers, supervisors and technicians.
- Allocate work and monitor team performance.
- Conduct product and technical training.
- Evaluate team performance against KPIs/KRAs.
- Develop a strong and efficient service team.

3. Customer Management

- Act as the escalation point for key customers.
- Conduct customer review meetings and service audits.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and calmly.
- Build long-term relationships for AMC, retrofits and upgrades.
- Support Sales and Projects teams with technical inputs.

4. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

- Provide advanced technical guidance for equipment issues.
- Lead troubleshooting and breakdown resolution.
- Review Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA).
- Support commissioning of critical and complex installations.

5. AMC, Spare Parts & Warranty

- Identify and maintain critical spare-parts requirements.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase for spare availability.
- Develop and promote Annual Maintenance Contracts.
- Monitor AMC renewals, compliance and profitability.
- Manage warranty calls and coordinate with Projects,



Design and Quality teams for recurring failures.

6. Reporting & Documentation

- Ensure proper Service Visit Reports, Commissioning Reports and CAPA documentation.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports covering service calls, response time, customer complaints, AMC revenue and service costs.
- Track service performance and identify areas for improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile

- B.E./Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 5–8 years of experience in service/after-sales operations.
- Strong knowledge of bulk powder handling systems.
- Experience in process industry, chemical, pharmaceutical equipment manufacturing or mechanical equipment/project industry is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills.
- Excellent planning, coordination and reporting abilities.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Customer-centric approach.
- Calm and composed personality with the ability to handle pressure effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
