About The Role We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to join the development team and work on designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing WordPress-based websites and web applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, themes, plugins, APIs, and third-party integrations.

The role involves working closely with developers, Product Managers, and QA teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing WordPress solutions.

Working Hours The role will follow IST working hours, with availability required during the team's standard working window.

The candidate should also be comfortable collaborating with distributed teams through video calls and email.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and applications.
- Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins based on business requirements.
- Build responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services with WordPress applications.
- Customize WordPress functionality and develop solutions to meet specific business requirements.
- Work with PHP and WordPress architecture to develop scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Optimize website performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional, technical, and performance-related issues.




- Work with databases and perform SQL queries for data management and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with developers, Product Managers, QA, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Follow Git-based development and DevOps workflows for code management and deployment.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and production support activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow development best practices.

Requirements

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
- Robust proficiency in PHP and WordPress development.
- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development/customization.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web development.
- Experience working with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Foundational to strong understanding of SQL and databases.
- Experience with Git and DevOps workflows.
- Good understanding of website performance optimization and security practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English through email and video calls.
- Ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
