About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Web Developer with 4+ years of professional experience in developing, maintaining and scaling web applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Core PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS and REST APIs, along with practical experience in Python/Django.

The candidate will be responsible for taking ownership of development tasks, designing reliable solutions, optimizing existing applications and contributing to technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain scalable web applications using Core PHP.

Develop backend functionality and business logic with a strong focus on security, performance and maintainability.

Design, develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party APIs.

Develop and maintain applications using Python/Django when required.

Design and optimize MySQL databases, queries,



indexes and database structures.

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in applications and databases.

Develop dynamic and responsive frontend functionality using JavaScript, AJAX, HTML and CSS.

Analyze existing codebases and improve code quality, performance and maintainability.

Debug complex application issues and provide effective long-term solutions.

Implement secure coding practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation and protection against common web vulnerabilities.

Participate in technical discussions and contribute to application architecture and design decisions.

Conduct code reviews and ensure development standards are followed.

Work closely with QA, project managers and other developers to deliver high-quality features.

Estimate development tasks and communicate technical risks, dependencies and timelines.

Take ownership of assigned modules/features from development through deployment and maintenance.

Mentor and support junior developers when required.

Required Skills

4+ years of professional experience in web application development.

Strong hands-on experience with Core PHP.

Strong knowledge of MySQL, SQL queries, database design and optimization.





Strong JavaScript and AJAX skills.

Strong understanding of HTML and CSS.

Solid experience in REST API development and integration.

Practical experience with Python/Django.

Good understanding of MVC and software design principles.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Experience with Git and version-control workflows.

Understanding of web application security and performance optimization.

Ability to work with existing legacy code as well as develop new functionality.

Experience working with AI/LLM APIs, including integrating AI-powered features into web applications and handling API responses.

Good to Have

Experience designing scalable web applications.

Experience with third-party API integrations.

Experience with Linux servers and deployment environments.

Knowledge of caching, queues or background jobs.

Experience with GitHub/GitLab.

Experience mentoring junior developers.
