About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned technology executive to lead a large-scale engineering organization responsible for building and evolving mission-critical digital platforms serving millions of customers across multiple markets.

This is a strategic leadership position combining technology vision, engineering excellence, digital transformation, AI adoption, platform modernization, and organizational leadership.

The successful leader will define and execute a multi-year engineering strategy while partnering closely with business and technology executives to translate customer and business priorities into scalable, secure, and high-performing technology platforms.

The role will have ownership across areas such as digital commerce, customer service platforms, CRM, assisted-service channels, enterprise platforms, and customer engagement technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Technology & Engineering Strategy

- Define and execute a 3–5 year engineering and technology roadmap aligned with business growth and customer experience objectives.
- Establish a modern engineering strategy focused on scalability, resilience, cloud adoption, automation, and platform reuse.
- Identify emerging technologies and determine where they can create measurable business and customer value.
- Act as a technology thought leader and advisor to senior executive stakeholders.

Digital & Platform Transformation
- Lead modernization of complex enterprise technology landscapes and transition legacy platforms toward cloud-native, modular, API-driven architectures.
- Drive transformation of platforms supporting digital commerce, customer service, CRM, assisted channels, billing, product/catalogue capabilities, and related enterprise services.
- Establish architectural principles that enable faster product development and consistent experiences across digital and assisted channels.
- Balance modernization ambitions with operational stability, business continuity, security, and risk management.

AI & Intelligent Engineering
- Build and execute an enterprise-wide strategy for incorporating AI and Generative AI into products, platforms, engineering productivity, and customer journeys.
- Identify high-value AI opportunities and move them from experimentation and proof-of-concept into scalable production implementations.




- Encourage responsible adoption of AI across engineering, operations, customer experience, and product development.
- Establish governance and engineering practices required to build reliable, secure, and scalable AI-enabled solutions.

Engineering Organization Leadership
- Lead and scale a large, globally distributed engineering organization across multiple geographies.
- Build a culture centered around ownership, engineering excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop senior engineering leaders and create strong succession pipelines for critical technology functions.
- Own strategic workforce planning, hiring, organization design, capability development, and leadership development.
- Ensure teams operate with clear objectives, effective engineering practices, and strong delivery discipline.

Engineering & Operational Excellence
- Establish standards for software architecture, development practices, quality, automation, observability, and production reliability.
- Improve engineering productivity through automation, modern development methodologies, reusable platforms, and effective tooling.
- Drive high availability, performance, resilience, and operational maturity across business-critical systems.
- Establish proactive monitoring and automated incident-management practices to minimize customer and business disruption.

Security, Risk & Governance
- Ensure technology platforms meet high standards for cybersecurity, privacy, resilience, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify technology and operational risks and establish mitigation strategies.
- Partner with security, architecture, product, operations, and business teams to maintain a robust technology governance framework.

Executive & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with C-suite and senior business leaders on major technology and business decisions.
- Translate complex technology topics into transparent business outcomes for executive and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with Product, Design, Marketing, Operations, Security, Data, and other functions to deliver integrated customer experiences.




- Represent the engineering organization with strategic technology partners, vendors, and external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For
- 20 years of technology/software engineering experience, including significant experience leading large engineering organizations.
- Proven track record of building and scaling large, high-performing engineering teams.
- Experience managing global and geographically distributed teams with diverse cultures and working environments.
- Strong background in large-scale digital platforms, web/mobile applications, e-commerce, customer-facing products, or enterprise technology ecosystems.
- Demonstrated experience leading major technology modernization and transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, security, scalability, and enterprise software engineering.
- Practical exposure to AI/Generative AI initiatives, including experimentation, POCs, and production implementations.
- Experience working with complex, high-volume technology environments where reliability and performance are business-critical.
- Ability to engage deeply with engineers on technical architecture while communicating effectively with executives and business leaders.
- Strong experience in hiring, mentoring, developing, and retaining senior engineering talent.
- Demonstrated ability to drive organizational transformation and build high-performance engineering cultures.
- Strong executive presence, strategic thinking, influencing ability, and an outside-in/customer-first mindset.
- Hands-on software engineering foundation with strong understanding of enterprise-scale development practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
