Role Summary The Senior Unreal Engine Environment & Lighting Artist is responsible for defining and maintaining the visual quality of premium automotive visualization projects. Beyond delivering high-end environments and lighting setups, the role acts as a creative and technical reference within the team, driving best practices, establishing production standards, and mentoring other artists.

The Senior Artist owns the complete visualization workflow—from creative concept development and customer presentations to production-ready implementation in Unreal Engine - while ensuring the highest standards of realism, scalability, and visual consistency across all deliverables.

Senior Responsibilities

Creative Leadership

- Lead the creative development of automotive visualization concepts and visual directions.
- Define the artistic vision for environments, lighting, cinematics, and look development.
- Present creative concepts directly to customers and stakeholders.
- Guide projects from concept through final production while ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
- Drive innovation by introducing new visual styles, workflows, and production techniques.

Technical Ownership

- Define and maintain production standards for environments, lighting, cameras, materials, and rendering.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Unreal Engine visualization workflows.
- Establish scalable scene structures,



reusable assets, and production pipelines.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies, rendering techniques, and AI-assisted workflows to improve quality and efficiency.
- Support the continuous optimization of production processes across multiple projects.

Quality Assurance

- Ensure a consistently photorealistic visual quality across all marketing imagery, configurators, cinematics, and interactive experiences.
- Review environments, lighting, materials, and compositions created by other artists and provide constructive feedback.
- Establish quality benchmarks and visual guidelines for the team.
- Maintain brand consistency across different customers and projects.

Mentoring & Collaboration

- Mentor junior and mid-level artists in lighting, environment creation, cinematic composition, and Unreal Engine workflows.
- Share knowledge and establish best practices within the visualization team.
- Support onboarding of new artists and contribute to internal documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Technical Artists, Developers, and Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery.

Innovation & Pipeline Development

- Drive the adoption of modern AI-assisted visualization workflows.
- Improve hybrid 2D/3D production techniques and reflection matching workflows.




- Support the evolution of real-time and offline rendering pipelines.
- Contribute to the long-term visualization strategy by identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and workflow optimization.
