Job Title: SAP Project Manager (SAP 3PL Integration Project Manager)

Role Overview

This role is for a Project Manager responsible for managing SAP 3PL Integration projects.

The candidate should have experience managing at least 2–3 SAP 3PL implementation projects.

An SAP 3PL Integration Project Manager drives the end-to-end delivery of complex integration projects connecting SAP S/4HANA/ECC with external Third-Party Logistics (3PL) warehouse management and transportation systems. The role bridges internal IT teams, global supply chain business leaders, and external logistics vendors to ensure seamless and automated data exchange.

Core Responsibilities

1. Project Governance

- Own end-to-end project execution covering Scoping, Design, Build, Testing, Go-Live, and Hypercare.
- Manage projects using SAP Activate, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies.
- Establish project plans, milestones, deliverables, governance mechanisms, and reporting.

2. 3PL Vendor Management

- Act as the primary point of contact for external 3PL providers.
- Align technical capabilities, API/EDI specifications, integration requirements, dependencies, and project timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and resolution of project issues.

3. Cross-Functional Orchestration

- Lead workshops and coordination across internal functional and technical teams, including:
- SAP SD
- SAP MM
- SAP EWM
- SAP TM
- Corporate Logistics
- Middleware/Integration teams
- MuleSoft
- SAP Integration Suite/CPI
- Boomi





4. Interface Architecture & Integration

- Oversee the definition and implementation of integration touchpoints between SAP and 3PL systems.
- Manage mapping and validation of core supply chain messages, including:
- Inbound Delivery
- Goods Receipt
- Outbound Shipping Instructions
- Inventory Synchronization
- Tracking and Status Updates
- Ensure interfaces meet business, technical, data, and operational requirements.

5. Testing & Quality Assurance

- Define and manage the End-to-End (E2E) testing strategy.
- Coordinate:
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Integration Testing
- Volume/Stress Testing
- Ensure successful validation of data exchange across SAP, 3PL, warehouse, transportation, and middleware platforms.

6. Risk & Change Management

- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
- Manage risks related to:
- Data mismatches
- System downtime
- Integration failures
- Warehouse operational disruptions
- Cutover activities
- Go-Live and Hypercare
- Manage project scope, change requests, escalations, and stakeholder expectations.
