About the role

Alterna8 WM is building a wealth-management and distribution business across mutual funds, PMS and AIFs. We are looking for experienced regional sales professionals to own client acquisition, AUM growth and relationship management in their respective markets- NCR, Lucknow, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

Each Senior Sales Manager is the face of Alterna8 WM in their region: responsible for building and deepening the HNI and affluent client book, driving net new AUM, and growing the firm's presence in the local market. The role is suited to a self-driven wealth professional with a proven sales track record who wants to grow into a Regional / Zonal Head as regional teams are built out.

Key responsibilities

Client acquisition & AUM growth

- Own the region's net new AUM, revenue and client-acquisition targets across MF, PMS and AIF products.
- Acquire HNI and affluent clients through direct sourcing, referrals and professional networks (CA fraternity, corporates, and family offices).
- Build and manage a healthy prospect pipeline and convert it into funded, long-term relationships.
- Represent Alterna8 WM at regional investor meets, seminars and networking events.

Relationship management & advisory

- Deepen and retain existing client relationships, growing wallet share through suitable cross-sell.
- Understand each client's goals and risk profile and recommend suitable MF / PMS / AIF solutions in line with suitability norms.
- Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and use central product and research inputs to present investment ideas.

Market & channel development

- Develop the assigned regional market and build referral and distribution networks, including IFAs / sub-brokers and the CA fraternity where relevant.
- Drive local brand-building and lead-generation initiatives in the region.
- Track competition,



pricing and market opportunities and share regional feedback with the central team.

Sales governance & compliance

- Follow the SEBI / AMFI code of conduct and suitability / anti-mis-selling controls in every client engagement.
- Ensure ARN / EUIN compliance on all business sourced and maintain accurate CRM, pipeline and MIS data.
- Coordinate with the operations team on client on boarding, KYC and documentation for a smooth client experience.

Reporting & collaboration

- Report regional performance - AUM, net flows, revenue and pipeline - to the Business Head on an agreed cadence.
- Collaborate with central operations, product and research teams, and feed regional market insight into product decisions.

Qualifications & certifications

- Graduate; an MBA or postgraduate qualification in finance / management is preferred.
- 5+ years in wealth management, private banking, MF / PMS / AIF distribution or financial-product sales, with a demonstrated AUM and revenue track record.
- Existing HNI / affluent client relationships in the assigned region are strongly preferred.
- NISM-Series-V-A (Mutual Fund Distributors) required; NISM-Series-XXI-A (PMS) preferred; CFP / CWM an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of the local market and client landscape in the assigned city / region.

Skills & competencies

- Proven consultative-selling and business-development ability with HNI clients, and a strong target orientation.
- Deep understanding of MF / PMS / AIF products, markets and asset allocation.
- Self-driven, with the ability to operate independently as the firm's regional representative.
- High integrity and a suitability-first approach, with strong communication and networking skills.

Preferred (valuable to have)

- A portable client book or an established regional referral network.
- Experience with wealth-tech / CRM platforms and financial planning tools.
