Role Overview:

- We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Tester with strong expertise in Python, Robot Framework, and SeleniumLibrary to develop, maintain, and enhance automated test solutions for web-based applications.
- The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of automation framework design, test planning, execution, defect management, and Agile methodologies. The candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Robot Framework and SeleniumLibrary.
- Develop reusable and maintainable automation components using Python.
- Analyze functional and technical requirements and create appropriate test scenarios and test cases.
- Build and enhance Robot Framework automation suites for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and maintain reusable keywords, libraries, test data, and automation utilities.
- Perform web application testing across supported browsers and environments.
- Identify suitable test cases for automation and maximize automation coverage.
- Execute automated regression suites and analyze test execution results.
- Troubleshoot automation failures and determine whether failures are caused by application defects, test scripts, test data, or environment issues.
- Log, track, and manage defects and work closely with development teams for resolution.
- Maintain automation source code and test assets in Bitbucket.
- Follow source-control best practices, including branching, merging, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups,



backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other QA engineers.
- Review existing automation frameworks and identify opportunities for improved reliability, maintainability, and execution speed.
- Create and maintain test documentation, automation standards, and execution reports.
- Mentor junior automation testers and provide guidance on Robot Framework, Python, SeleniumLibrary, and automation best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation strategy.

Required Technical Skills:

Python:

- Strong hands-on experience with Python for test automation.

Testing Skills:

- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.

- Experience with defect management tools such as Jira or similar tools.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis of automation and application failures.
- Strong understanding of positive, negative, boundary, and data-driven testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with API testing using Postman, REST APIs, or Python-based API testing libraries.
- Knowledge of SQL/database validation.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with parallel test execution and cross-browser testing.
- Knowledge of Docker or cloud-based test environments.
- Experience with BDD and Cucumber is a plus.
- Experience with performance testing is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern QA and continuous testing practices.

Senior-Level Expectations:

The Senior Automation Tester is expected to:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
