We are looking for a Strong Senior Python Developer to join a leading investment bank and contribute to the development of high-performance, data-intensive applications.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Python, PySpark, and large-scale data processing, with the ability to design robust data pipelines, optimize performance, and deliver scalable enterprise solutions in a fast-paced financial environment.

Responsibilities

- Develop software applications based on business requirements.
- Maintain and enhance existing software applications according to project specifications.
- Participate in requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation activities.
- Propose new techniques and technologies to improve software development.
- Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate application functionality.
- Complete assigned development tasks within project deadlines.
- Follow coding standards and software development best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers when required.
- Perform code reviews and recommend improvements to enhance code quality.
- Review business requirements and recommend technical solutions to build reliable applications.
- Develop coding documentation and technical specifications for assigned projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for development-related queries and technical concerns.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve development issues efficiently.

Mandatory Skills

- 10+ years of experience in data-intensive Python development .
- Proven experience as a Core Python and PySpark developer.
- Strong experience with:

- Solid knowledge of:
- Database connectivity
- Data loading
- Data transformation
- Data calculations
- Extensive experience with Pandas and NumPy , including:

- Vector operations on Pandas DataFrames and Series
- apply(), applymap(), and map() functions
- Experience designing concurrent data pipelines and handling errors for batch processing of 1–10 GB datasets.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ability to design scalable architectures for concurrent data processing.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and services .
- Experience writing and maintaining application unit tests.
- Experience using Git for source control.
- Good understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and application integrations.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Knowledge of web backend technologies, including:

- Experience with Apache Airflow .
