Role Description The Senior Purchase Officer is a full-time, in office role based in Satara. This position is responsible for end-to-end procurement of raw materials and ancillary supplies, including vendor identification, evaluation, and negotiation to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely availability. The role involves managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with production and quality teams, and maintaining accurate procurement records.

Officer will also analyze market trends, review supplier performance, and contribute to developing procurement policies and cost-optimization strategies.



Collaboration with finance, logistics, and operations teams is essential to support smooth manufacturing and continuous supply to customers.

Qualifications

- Strong purchasing and procurement skills, including vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
- Experience in inventory management, materials planning, and coordination with production or operations teams.
- Ability to analyze market trends, cost structures, and supply risks to support strategic purchasing decisions.
- Proficiency in using ERP or procurement software, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis tools.
- Sound knowledge of supply chain processes; experience in agriculture, livestock feed, or manufacturing is an advantage.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to maintain organized records and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced certifications in procurement or supply chain are beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
