Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Roads & Highway Design to join our Roads & Highways Design team in Bengaluru. The role will be responsible for leading and delivering civil, roadway, highway, and transportation design projects while ensuring quality, technical accuracy, budget, and schedule requirements are met.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in road and highway design, proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD, and exposure to international projects, preferably Gulf/Middle East projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and deliver project discipline scope within agreed budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Oversee the completeness and accuracy of project team deliverables.
- Supervise, guide, and coordinate design teams to achieve overall project objectives.
- Provide senior-level technical expertise and support to clients on transportation and highway design aspects.
- Assist in project management, planning, coordination, and technical delivery.
- Prepare and review civil/site, roadway, pavement marking, signing, traffic management, and staging/constructability plans.
- Coordinate project execution and design activities from project initiation through final design.
- Manage specific design aspects and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
- Act as a technical liaison with clients, project managers,



and other stakeholders.
- Review design calculations, drawings, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
- Support permitting, construction administration, and preparation of final project specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, codes, and local authority requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of international and multidisciplinary transportation projects.

Required Skills & Experience

- 12+ years of relevant experience in Transportation, Roads & Highways, or Civil Infrastructure Design.
- Master’s Degree is mandatory in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in Highway/Roadway Design.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of roadway geometry, alignments, profiles, pavement, intersections, signing, and road infrastructure design.
- Good knowledge of engineering standards, codes of practice, and local authority guidelines.
- Experience working on international projects, preferably Gulf/Middle East projects, will be highly preferred.
- Knowledge of UK, AASHTO, Middle East, and Indian highway design standards.
- Robust technical coordination and project delivery skills.
- Good communication and client coordination skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor design teams.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in projects involving UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, or other GCC countries will be preferred.
