Key Responsibilities Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production activities based on customer requirements and production plans. Achieve production targets while maintaining quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives. Monitor production processes and ensure smooth and uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Prepare and implement production schedules and manpower plans. Allocate manpower and resources effectively across production lines or work centers. Monitor machine utilization, production efficiency, downtime, cycle time, and productivity. Coordinate with PPC/Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, and Dispatch departments. Ensure production is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, work instructions, SOPs, and quality standards. Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve output. Reduce rejection, rework, scrap, downtime, and manufacturing losses. Ensure proper implementation of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor and control manufacturing costs and minimize unnecessary consumption of materials and resources. Ensure availability and proper utilization of raw materials, tools, fixtures, consumables, and machines. Work closely with the Quality Department to resolve quality issues, customer complaints, NCRs, and process deviations. Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize machine breakdowns and production downtime. Ensure compliance with safety rules, statutory requirements, company policies, and environmental procedures.



Conduct regular production meetings and review production performance against targets. Prepare and submit daily/monthly production reports and MIS. Analyze production data and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions. Train, guide, and develop supervisors, operators, and production staff. Establish accountability and maintain discipline within the production team. Support recent product development, process improvement, and new machine/process commissioning. Participate in internal, customer, and external audits when required. Ensure proper housekeeping and workplace organization within the production area.

Required Qualifications Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 8–15 years of relevant manufacturing experience. Strong knowledge of production planning, process control, manpower management, and manufacturing operations.

Experience in handling production teams and multiple manufacturing processes. Good understanding of engineering drawings, process sheets, SOPs, and quality requirements. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, OEE, and productivity improvement. Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and MS Excel. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Good communication, leadership, and team-management skills.
