Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement Operations
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for construction projects, including sourcing, RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluation, negotiation, purchase order issuance, and delivery follow-up.
- Procure materials such as civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, finishing, and structural items as per approved specifications and project schedules.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, quantity surveyors, and stores to determine procurement requirements and priorities.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to avoid project delays.
Supplier & Subcontractor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain an approved vendor database and conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and service agreements to achieve optimum value for the company.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality concerns, delivery delays, and contractual disputes.
Cost Control & Commercial Support
- Analyze quotations and prepare comparative statements (technical and commercial).
- Support the commercial and estimation teams with market price analysis and budgetary quotations during tendering stages.
- Monitor procurement costs against project budgets and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Track price trends and market conditions for key construction materials.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procurement policies, contractual requirements, and applicable legal regulations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, purchase orders, delivery notes, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with finance for invoice verification, payment processing,
and reconciliation with purchase orders and delivery receipts.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to procurement activities.
Reporting
- Prepare procurement status reports, material tracking reports, and vendor performance reports.
- Highlight procurement risks, potential delays, and mitigation actions to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Skilled certification such as CIPS, CPSM, PMP, or equivalent is an advantage.
Experience
- 5–10+ years of procurement experience in a contracting, construction, infrastructure, or EPC company.
- Proven experience handling procurement for multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with local and international sourcing practices for construction materials and subcontract services.
Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Sound knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and procurement processes.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On-time procurement and delivery performance.
- Cost savings achieved against budget or benchmark prices.
- Supplier performance and compliance levels.
- Reduction in procurement lead times.
- Accuracy and completeness of procurement documentation.
- Support provided to project execution without material-related delays.
Pay: From ₹10,000.00 per month
