- Design Engineer shall co-ordinate with Project Manager and Technical Manager.
- Manage major aspects of the Plumbing / Public Health /FF Engineering design of projects.
- Direct the activities of other junior engineers / technicians on projects.
- Coordinate design efforts with all other groups, and maintain project records.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
- Prepare and participate in design reviews.
- Responsibilities:
- To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Calculation of Water Demand.
- Calculation of Hot & Cold Water (including circulation), flow calculation, calculations, distribution systems (sizing, valves, pumps etc.), water heating systems, water storage systems.
- Design of drainage system in the buildings gravity & pumped solutions.
- Design and Calculation of Hot water distribution System in the Building: Distribution pipes, Pumps, Heat exchangers, Mixing loops, Material selection, Flow calculations, Pressure calculation, Pipe sizing, Control valves, stop valves, pipe insulation.
- Solar Water heating system design.
- Design and Calculation of Cold System in the Building: Distribution pipes, Pumps, Mixing loops, Material selection, Flow calculations, Pressure calculation, Pipe sizing, Control valves, stop valves, pipe insulation.
- Design of water purification plant, including filtration, softening plus chlorination.
- Design and Calculation of Fire Water in the Building: Automatic sprinkler systems design, Fire hoses, Wet & Dry Risers.
- Grey / Black Water recycling system/plant design.
- Borehole water system design.
- Allocation of work to the Design Engineers / Drafting personnel assigned for the Quality & Timely completion of deliverables




- Responsible for the submission of Time Sheets of Self and the entire Team on Daily / Weekly / Monthly basis based on the Project Work Demands and reporting the same to the Management
- Co-ordination with Architect and all other disciplines
- Ensure complete MEP Design Co-ordination.
- QA & QC checking and implementation of company standards.
- Responsible for the review / commenting & Approval of the following submitted by Contractors / Sub Contractors / Vendors
- Shop Drawings
- Material Submittal
- Sample Submittal
- As built Drawings
- Calculations / Software models / renderings
- Installation / Testing & Commissioning
- As a Project Manager and Single Point of contact for the assigned projects:
- Responsible for day to day communications (both Telephonic / Email and or other means) with Client / Client representative
- Efficiently Communicating the Client requirements to the Internal MEP Team
- Providing necessary inputs to the Internal Project Team and sharing necessary inputs to the external teams (Architects / Clients / Specialist Consultants etc.)
- Responsible for thorough coordination of Internal and External Services and providing the necessary drawings / documents to Client as per the Project requirements
- Responsible for the delivery of complete MEP Package for the Projects assigned
- Supporting other Internal Project Managers in delivering their project in a Quality & Timely manner
- Responsible for necessary Site Visits and documenting the observations of the site visits through Site Visit Reports with necessary photographs as necessary




- Responsible for Value Engineering / Cost reduction measures without compromising on the Design intent
- Responsible for documenting and preparation of MOM as and when necessary and submitting the MOM copy to all stake holders
- Responsible for quality & timely deliverable of submissions and documenting the same through proper transmittals
- Responsible for the Prompt Milestone Delivery Closures and coordinate with the accounts department for raising the invoice for the respective stage
- Support the accounts team by coordinating with Client Team to realize the payments
- Submitting Project Progress report on regular basis to the Client / Management
- Support the Management in bidding for recent projects / Bid Proposal / Bid documentation / Presentations
- Any other assignment as given by the Management.
- As part of your responsibilities, you will be required to attend design team meetings and site meetings with end user's, Architects and Contractors.
- Liaise with the Client and Client's Representatives, Architects and Contractors and project manager of the mechanical services and combined MEP projects assigned to you.
- This shall include internal job management, project management and team management, preparation of progress reports, resources management, quality control and budget management.
