Key Responsibilities

- Administer and support Oracle E-Business Suite (R12/R12.2) environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.

- Perform installation, configuration, cloning, patching, and upgrades of Oracle EBS, maintaining system integrity and security.

- Manage Oracle Database administration activities, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning to support business continuity.

- Monitor application and database health, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.

- Perform maintenance on both EBS application tier and database tier, ensuring updates and patches are applied timely.

- Manage concurrent managers, workflow services, forms, reports, and web services to support business operations.

- Handle production support incidents, service requests, and problem management activities to ensure timely resolution.

- Implement security protocols, user management, and compliance requirements, adhering to organizational and sector standards.

Overview

- The Senior Oracle EBS DBA will be responsible for managing and supporting Oracle E-Business Suite environments within the BFSI sector, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance.

- This role is integral in overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle EBS, while maintaining the integrity and security of data.

- The position is based in Delhi and requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders to address and resolve technical issues effectively.

- The role demands a proactive approach to ensure system reliability, adherence to SLAs, and the implementation of best practices.

- As a Level 4 role, it requires 6-9 years of experience in Oracle EBS administration and related technologies.





- The incumbent will work closely with various teams to support the technical infrastructure, ensuring continuous availability and performance tuning of databases.

- This role plays a critical part in implementing security protocols and managing compliance requirements specific to the BFSI sector.

- The position involves proactive monitoring and addressing issues before they impact business operations, thus supporting the organization's objectives and service delivery.

- In addition to technical responsibilities, this role demands the preparation of technical documentation, SOPs, and operational reports to support the organization's knowledge management initiatives.

- The Senior Oracle EBS DBA will serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and training to junior DBAs and other technical staff.

- The role also involves coordinating with Oracle support and internal stakeholders to facilitate issue resolution and continuous improvement of the Oracle EBS environment.

- This includes ensuring all activities are aligned with industry best practices and organizational standards.

Requirements

- 6-9 years of experience as an Oracle Apps DBA, with expertise in Oracle EBS R12/R12.2 administration.

- Proficient in Oracle Database Administration (11g/12c/19c) and EBS Cloning (Apps and DB Tier).

- Hands-on experience with AD/TXK Patching and Online Patching (R12.2), ensuring system updates are applied efficiently.

- Skilled in Backup and Recovery (RMAN) and Performance Tuning to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

- Experience with Linux/Unix Administration, supporting the underlying infrastructure for Oracle EBS environments.

- Familiarity with OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) is preferred, enhancing monitoring and management capabilities.

- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a positive understanding of Oracle support processes and ITIL practices.
