Job Title: Senior Developer – IBM Netezza (NPSaaS)

Experience: 6–10 years

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Netezza Developer whose primary focus is hands-on development — building, optimizing, and maintaining data solutions on IBM Netezza.The role also requires strong working knowledge of Netezza Performance Server as a Service (NPSaaS) and cloud-hosted configurations, to support deployment, scaling, and day-to-day operational needs on IBM Cloud.

Required Skills

- 6+ years of hands-on development experience with IBM Netezza (IIAS/NPS) development: SQL, PL-SQL/stored procedures, and performance tuning.




- Working knowledge of IBM Netezza Performance Server (NPS) SaaS on AWS, including migration behaviors, custom function compatibility, and configuration differences from on-prem IIAS.
- Strong SQL performance tuning and query optimization skills specific to Netezza's MPP architecture.
- Experience with ETL tools (DataStage or similar) integrated with Netezza.
- IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) or equivalent enterprise job-scheduling tool experience.
- General cloud platform familiarity (IBM Cloud primarily; AWS/Azure/GCP a plus) for hosting, networking basics, and configuration relevant to Netezza workloads.
- Understanding of Netezza system configuration, backup/restore, and basic administration concepts.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Good to Have

- Direct experience migrating on-prem Netezza workloads to NPSaaS or other cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Exposure to IBM Db2 Warehouse / Netezza on Cloud.
- Knowledge of scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys) and CI/CD basics.
- Prior experience mentoring junior developers.
