Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Mechanical Engineer to oversee mechanical engineering, maintenance and equipment reliability for our Amusement Park, Snow Storm and Resort operations at Athirappilly, Thrissur, Kerala.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of mechanical systems and equipment, leading the mechanical maintenance team, planning preventive maintenance, handling breakdowns and coordinating closely with Operations, Electrical and other Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all mechanical maintenance and engineering activities across the Amusement Park, Snow Storm and Resort facilities.
- Ensure safe and reliable operation of all mechanical equipment, machinery and systems.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential mechanical failures before breakdowns occur.
- Supervise and coordinate preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Lead troubleshooting and rectification of mechanical equipment failures.
- Coordinate with Operations teams to minimize equipment downtime and operational interruptions.
- Ensure proper inspection, lubrication, alignment, servicing and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Monitor the condition and performance of pumps, compressors, HVAC-related mechanical systems, motors, gearboxes, rotating equipment and other mechanical installations, as applicable.
- Ensure proper maintenance of amusement-park mechanical equipment and associated systems.
- Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation, MEP and other Engineering teams for integrated maintenance activities.
- Prepare maintenance plans, schedules, checklists and technical reports.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment history, breakdowns,
preventive maintenance and spare-parts requirements.
- Plan and monitor inventory of critical mechanical spares, tools and consumables.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors and service agencies for specialized maintenance and equipment servicing.
- Review vendor performance and ensure maintenance work is completed as per technical and safety requirements.
- Ensure compliance with approved SOPs, maintenance procedures and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and identify mechanical safety risks.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented for identified risks.
- Support emergency breakdown response and provide technical guidance during critical equipment failures.
- Train, guide and supervise Junior Mechanical Engineers, technicians and maintenance staff.
- Monitor manpower deployment, work allocation and performance of the mechanical maintenance team.
- Support commissioning, installation, testing and handover of new mechanical equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with management for major repairs, replacement, modification and improvement projects.
- Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability, energy efficiency and maintenance effectiveness.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented and reported to management.
Qualification Required
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Diploma holders with extensive and relevant senior-level experience may also be considered.
- Professional certification or additional technical qualifications will be an advantage.
Experience Required
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering / Maintenance.
- Experience in Amusement Parks, Theme Parks, Snow Parks, Resorts, Hospitality, Industrial Facilities or similar large-scale operations will be preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
- Experience in managing mechanical maintenance teams and external contractors.
- Experience with safety-critical equipment and high-footfall public facilities will be an advantage.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a strong technical professional with excellent leadership and problem-solving capabilities. The candidate should be capable of managing mechanical engineering activities in a high-footfall tourism and entertainment environment, where equipment reliability, safety and minimum downtime are critical.
The candidate must be willing to work in shifts, weekends, public holidays and during peak tourist seasons whenever operational requirements demand.
