Job Summary The Quality Senior Manager BESS will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing quality systems, processes, and standards across BESS RD, manufacturing, assembly, and field deployment. This role ensures compliance with international standards (ISO, IEC, UL, BIS, etc.), regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and internal quality policies. The candidate will lead QA/QC teams, oversee supplier quality, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the highest reliability, safety, and performance of BESS products.

1. Quality Strategy Leadership

Establish and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) for BESS operations. Define and enforce quality standards, policies, and inspection protocols across the value chain.

Develop a culture of zero-defect and continuous improvement across manufacturing and project execution.

1. Supplier Incoming Quality

Implement supplier qualification, auditing, and performance evaluation for battery cells, modules, containers, electrical components, etc. Ensure incoming materials and parts meet defined specifications through strict IQC (Incoming Quality Control).

Collaborate with sourcing, SCM, and RD for vendor development and corrective actions.

1. Manufacturing Process Quality

Oversee in-process and final product inspections during cell, module, battery pack, container fabrication, and system integration. Develop quality control plans, inspection checklists, and acceptance criteria.

Implement Lean Six Sigma tools to eliminate defects,



reduce rework, and enhance process capability.

1. Testing Validation Quality

Ensure compliance with type tests, performance tests, reliability tests, and certification requirements (IEC 62619, IEC 62933, UL 9540, etc.). Monitor quality of electrical, mechanical, thermal, and software validation processes.

Coordinate with RD teams to ensure design validation and reliability improvements.

1. Project Site Field Quality

Implement quality assurance protocols for BESS installation, commissioning, and OM. Conduct field audits to ensure compliance with design, safety, and customer requirements.

Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

1. Documentation Reporting

Maintain detailed quality documentation: SOPs, inspection reports, CAPA reports, audit findings. Provide regular quality dashboards and KPI reports to senior management.

Ensure traceability of critical components and records throughout the product lifecycle.

First Pass Yield (FPY) in manufacturing

Supplier rejection rate corrective action closure time

Field failure rate / warranty claims

Audit compliance score

Timely closure of NCRs CAPA effectiveness

Customer satisfaction on quality metrics

Specific Experience

- 1015 years of quality management experience, with at least 5 years in battery, renewable energy, automotive (EV/BESS), or power projects.
