(Role):

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to lead and expand our education loan business in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record of developing and executing successful lending strategies within the education sector. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of the education loan product, from origination and underwriting to disbursement and portfolio management.

This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the education financing landscape, and the ability to drive growth while maintaining asset quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Sales Operations & Strategy

- Lead and manage all sales-related operations within the international education loan market.
- Define, track, and optimize KPIs across the entire student loan journey—from login, documentation, to disbursement.
- Drive a 2.5x year-on-year growth in disbursals.

2. Lender & Partnership Management

- Build, maintain, and expand relationships with all existing and new lending partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms and payout structures with financial institutions.
- Ensure up-to-date understanding of partner product changes and integrate them into sales processes.

3. Funnel Growth & Lead Management

- Scale and mentor the sales team from tele-callers to mid-level sales managers.
- Ensure every incoming lead is promptly acted upon by the team, with a strong focus on maximizing conversions at each stage of the funnel4. Team Development & Leadership
- Collaborate with the digital marketing and B2B teams to improve top-of-funnel efficiency and lead quality.
- Oversee hiring, training, performance management, and KPI setting across the team.
- Promote a performance-driven culture aligned with EduFund’s goals.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with EduFund’s finance team and lender-side finance teams to manage payouts and reconciliations.
- Ensure smooth backend operations related to partner commissions and student disbursements.

Industry Representation & Travel

- Represent EduFund at key industry events and ecosystem meetups.
- Travel as needed to build and nurture lender and institutional relationships.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CA, MBA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the financial services industry, with a significant focus on education loans.
- Proven track record of successfully building and managing a substantial education loan portfolio.
- Deep understanding of the education financing ecosystem in India, including different types of educational institutions, courses, and student demographics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Solid ethical standards and a commitment to compliance.
