Role & responsibilities
1. Costing & Budgeting
- Develop initial project budgets using market intelligence, area statements, and historical benchmarks
- Analyse architectural, structural, and MEP designs from concept to GFC stages to ensure cost alignment
- Review and validate cost consultant submissions; conduct variance analysis
- Benchmark budgets against similar developments to ensure competitiveness
1. BOQ preparation
- Review BOQs prepared by cost consultants for technical accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure timely delivery of tender BOQ in line with the Tender Event Schedule
1. Rate Benchmarking & Market Intelligence
- Maintain a agile rate database to support accurate project costing and tendering.
1. Cost Tracking, Reporting & Control
- Monitor monthly cost progress across projects and flag deviations from approved budgets
- Prepare monthly cost reports and forecast cost-to-complete
- Track billing, change orders, and reconcile costs against budgets

Financial Management
- Maintain oversight of total project costs and billing forecasts
- Collaborate with Finance and Project Execution teams for accurate forecasting and billing
- Recommend corrective actions in case of budget overruns or financial risks
1. Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as a key liaison between senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Facilitate effective interdepartmental coordination to ensure smooth project execution
Preferred candidate profile Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering
- 12–15 years of progressive experience in project budgeting, costing, contract management, and financial control
- Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD and CostX
- Experience in the hospitality sector is preferred
