Senior Lead Research Scientist - Data Science RD MSc MTech PhD

Responsibilities

- Carry out exhaustive research on application of AI/ML/DNN/DRL in several industrial domains : Commercial Buildings HVAC - Utility Systems, Pharma HVAC - Utility Systems, Pharma Process Equipment, Pharma Drug Discovery, Cement, Chemical/Specialty Chemical, Consumer Goods, Pulp Paper, Materials, Automobile, and Energy Generation Distribution.

- Conceptualize, Architect, Design, Develop, Productionize Improve Models as part of the Bert Platform Solution .

- Setup scalable pipelines and processes for data pre-processing/cleaning, feature extraction, dimensionality reduction, model building and serving.

- Utilize existing and newer algorithms to build the prediction and optimization models from the time series data.

- Collaborate with first principles modelling team members to establish several integration touchpoints between output of first principles (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) simulations and deep neural network simulations, and pre-train the models before field deployment.

- Collaborate with Industrial domain experts as part of building these models end to end for maximizing performance in these complex manufacturing process lines/equipment

- Collaborate with Product Management Leaders to bespoke Bert Labs Foundational AI models for different manufacturing plants and buildings.

- Collaborate with front-end and backend developers to integrate analytics and to help them create high performing distributed computing software modules.





- Entrepreneurial Leadership role, where in you innovate every day and do things beyond your current capabilities.

- Collaborate with IPR team to come up with innovation ideas, which can be patented. Further, work with the IPR team on freedom to operate search, technology landscaping and prior art searches, and on patent drafting.

Education / Qualifications

- MTech/MSc/PhD in CS/ECE/Statistics/Mathematics or other relevant fields from premium institutes IITs/BITS/NITs/IIITs/Jadavpur University/DTU/Top Engineering Institutes in USA, Europe, UK/NUS

- Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Python, Keras, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow

- Experience in statistical time-series analytics and forecasting: quartiles, ETS forecast, Holt-Winters, auto regressive techniques ARIMA/SARIMA, GARCH, hybrid GARCH-LSTM.

- Applications to sales/demand forecasting in retail, industrial analytics for IoT time-series data is preferred.

- Research oriented Experience in Machine / Reinforcement Learning, ANN/RNN/LSTM, Gradient Boosted Machines, SVM, Ensemble techniques.

- Experience in NoSQL DBs, Hadoop, analytics tools : Power BI, Tableau, etc. , and data pipelines for ML: Apache Spark Streaming, Storm etc., is preferred
