Role Description The Senior Lab Technician is a full-time, in office role based in South Delhi. This role involves performing and supervising routine and specialized diagnostic tests, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and quality control protocols.

The Senior Lab

Technician will oversee sample collection, preparation, and processing, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, and verify test results for accuracy before reporting. The individual will support junior technicians through training and mentorship, collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals, and help maintain regulatory compliance and safety standards in the lab. The role also includes documenting workflows,



managing inventory of reagents and consumables, and contributing to process improvements and implementation of new test methodologies.

Qualifications

- Strong technical proficiency in clinical diagnostics, including routine pathology, biochemistry, hematology, and, ideally, exposure to molecular testing.
- Experience with laboratory equipment operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting, along with adherence to quality control processes.
- Knowledge of NABL/ISO standards, regulatory guidelines, and laboratory safety practices, including infection control and biosafety.
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior lab staff, coordinate workloads, and support efficient, accurate test processing.
- Attention to detail with strong documentation, data entry, and report verification skills, ensuring reliability of patient results.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with clinicians, collection center teams, and other stakeholders.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field; advanced certifications in diagnostics or lab management are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a high-volume, accredited diagnostic laboratory, preferably in an urban healthcare setting.
