Position Overview

We are looking for experienced steel-industry professionals and senior industry leaders who can leverage their knowledge, relationships, and industry network to help us identify and develop new business opportunities.

The position is particularly suited to superannuated/retired but professionally active professionals, especially those with experience in, or solid connections with, the Tata Steel ecosystem, steel plants, mines, and other core industries.

The engagement can be structured as full-time employment, part-time consultancy, an independent advisory association, or a mutually agreed business-development arrangement, depending on the candidate's experience, availability, and network.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and generate qualified business leads in the steel, mining, manufacturing and core-industry sectors.
- Develop relationships with senior decision-makers in steel plants, mines and industrial organizations.
- Identify opportunities relating to industrial waste recycling, byproduct utilization and waste-to-value solutions.
- Explore opportunities involving materials such as steel plant waste, slag, sludge, mill scale, iron ore fines, dust, ash and other industrial byproducts.
- Facilitate introductions and meetings with potential customers, business partners and decision-makers.
- Understand customer requirements and coordinate with the MLPL team for developing appropriate technical and commercial solutions.
- Support business development from lead generation through opportunity development and commercial closure.
- Provide strategic inputs based on extensive industry experience and market knowledge.
- Identify emerging opportunities for sustainable and economically viable utilization of industrial waste.
- Build and maintain a strong network across steel plants, mines, and other core industries.





Who We Are Looking For We would particularly like to hear from professionals who have:

- 15+ years of relevant experience in the steel, mining, industrial services, recycling, waste management or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of steel plant operations, industrial byproducts and waste management.
- Established professional relationships with decision-makers in steel plants, mines and core industries.
- Experience with Tata Steel / Tata Steel ecosystem will be highly valued.
- A proven ability to identify business opportunities and generate quality leads.
- Strong communication, relationship-management and networking skills.
- The credibility and industry standing required to open doors and initiate meaningful business discussions.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and interest in continuing to contribute to the industry after superannuation.
