Job Title: Senior HR Manager / Assistant General Manager (AGM) Human Resources
Experience: 10+ Years
Location: India
Reporting To: Managing Director & Corporate HR (Head Office)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Manager / AGM – Human Resources to lead the complete HR function for our India operations. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for driving HR strategy, talent acquisition, organizational development, employee engagement, compliance, compensation & benefits, performance management, and HR operations while partnering closely with business leaders and global HR teams.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Business Partnering
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with business leaders to drive organizational effectiveness and workforce planning.
- Lead organizational restructuring, change management, and HR transformation initiatives.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for leadership, technical, and critical business roles.
- Develop sourcing strategies through job portals, recruitment agencies, employee referrals, and campus hiring.
- Build a strong talent pipeline to support business growth.
- Improve recruitment quality, hiring timelines, and employer branding.
Compensation & Benefits
- Design and manage competitive compensation structures and annual salary review processes.
- Oversee payroll coordination, bonus programs, incentive plans, and employee benefits.
- Ensure compliance with statutory benefits including PF, ESIC, Gratuity, and other applicable regulations.
Performance Management
- Drive the organization's performance management framework.
- Support goal setting, performance reviews, succession planning, and talent development.
- Work with business leaders to enhance employee productivity and retention.
Learning & Organizational Development
- Develop leadership development and employee capability-building programs.
- Implement succession planning and high-potential talent development initiatives.
- Promote a learning culture across the organization.
Employee Relations
- Build a positive employee experience through engagement initiatives.
- Resolve employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflicts.
- Strengthen employee communication and retention strategies.
HR Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Indian Labour Laws and statutory regulations.
- Handle labor disputes, disciplinary cases, and legal compliance.
- Update HR policies, employee handbook, and HR processes in line with legal requirements.
- Coordinate with government authorities and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
HR Operations
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exits.
- Maintain HR documentation, MIS reporting, and HR analytics.
- Drive HR automation and process improvements.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the HR team.
- Build high-performing HR capabilities across functions.
- Collaborate with Corporate HR and cross-functional stakeholders on strategic initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
- Skilled certifications such as SHRM, PHR, or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive HR experience with 5+ years in HR leadership/managerial roles.
- Strong experience managing the complete HR lifecycle in medium or large organizations.
- Hands-on knowledge of Indian Labour Laws, PF, ESIC, employee relations, statutory compliance, and HR policies.
- Experience in multinational organizations or global HR environments is preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Business proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Chinese will be an added advantage.
