Purpose-To support the tax function with primary focus on tax compliance, reporting and assessments, while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure timely and accurate tax compliances.

Job Responsibilities / Deliverables

This role will be responsible for periodic tax payments, tax filings and overall responsibilities of the tax compliances within the function.

- Handle tax compliance including tax working, TDS matters, return preparation, and related statutory filings.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal finance teams on tax notices from revenue authorities.
- Support tax assessments, notices, appeals, and departmental submissions by preparing data, reconciliations, and responses.
- Maintain proper records, tax files, and documentation for compliance and litigation support.
- Exposure to indirect tax matters such as GST will be an added advantage. Candidate will be trained for related indirect tax matters on the job.

Qualifications & Pre-Requisites

- Subject Knowledge:




- Understanding of Direct tax provisions, TDS provisions, basic income tax provisions, tax compliance processes, and corporate tax reporting & reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience in handling tax notices, assessments, and reconciliations.
- Valuable analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of ERP/accounting systems.
- S/4HANA Exposure: Basic experience with SAP on S/4HANA is preferred;
- Education: M.Com / MBA Finance / B.Com or equivalent.
- Experience: 4–5 years of relevant experience in direct taxation, preferably in a corporate tax function or consulting firm
- Pharma/Manufacturing Exposure: Experience in pharmaceutical / chemical manufacturing set ups will be preferred
- Flexibility: Willingness to adjust working days, to support tax statutory compliances (like TDS filings & others) irrespective of weekly offs / holidays, is a must. (Compensatory offs will be available).

Additional Notes

- The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing routine tax deliverables
- CA Firm or corporate background is a must.
