Role & responsibilities

1. Good knowledge of Costing of components/New Product Development
2. New Product Development ( NPD)
3. Development of Recent Vendors for New Components as well as old Components in all the commodities (Sheet metal, fabrication, wooden, Rubber, etc).
4. Periodic follow up with Vendors, for sourcing of Material/ components from Vendors.
5. Rectification in the Components/ Products as per the quality Report . Carry out the changes at Vendors End too, and same practice with vendors too.
6. Right Vendor selection, Costing, Purchase, Rate Contract, Material Receipt & Inspection.
7. Work on Materials Cost Reduction Tools/ Techniques lit JIT/ Kan-ban etc.
8. Materials Planning, Reviewing, optimizing the capacity at Vendors end to reduce Inventory.
9. Identifying and developing potential vendors for achieving cost effective purchases of materials; reduction in prices & timely delivery.
10. Monitoring of BOM Cost of Recent/ Existing Product, initiate measures to optimize the same. Workout on the Cost Reduction Plans to ensure Cost Benchmarking.
11. Data handling, to ensure every person uses appropriate data.
12. Ensure the vendor payment as per agreement terms
