This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including design, mechanical, electrical, and system engineers, to understand product requirements, evaluate thermal risks, and deliver accurate simulation-driven insights that guide design decisions. The engineer is accountable for ensuring timely, high-quality analysis, validating simulation models against physical test data, and developing innovative thermal solutions that improve product reliability, performance, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform advanced simulations using ANSYS tools (Electromagnetic, fluid and thermal)

· Develop high fidelity 3D models, material definitions and boundary conditions for accurate simulation results

· Conduct root cause analysis for failures and replicate the same in simulations, and find solutions for the failures

· Interpret, validate and document the simulation outcomes, and provide a clear actionable recommendation to the design team

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Lab, Quality) to understand and drive simulation needs in making decisions

· Own simulation deliverables

· Validate results with test data

· Support design optimization and digital twin initiatives

· Document all the assumptions with respect to design and boundary conditions in Simulation Reports.

Technical Skills: -

· Strong understanding of Basic Heat Transfer concepts and Fluid Dynamics

· Proficient in ANSYS tools including ANSYS AEDT/Icepak/Fluent, Maxwell, and SpaceClaim

· Robust analytical and system-level problem‑solving skills

· Good understanding of fundamental design principles and applications

· Basic proficiency in Creo or other CAD software

· Strong communication skills

· Added advantage: familiarity with electrical products such as breakers, switchboards, and related equipment

Soft Skills / Project Management: -

· Decompose projects into well‑defined work packages and activities, aligned with the scope and complexity of the analysis.

· Plan, prioritize, and sequence analysis activities to ensure timely completion of milestones and final project deliverables.

· Lead and control analysis execution, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and adherence to defined standards.

· Track project status and provide regular progress reports against defined requirements.

· Perform technical verification and quality assessment of analysis results to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards.

· Identify, assess, and manage technical and project risks, including tracking risk mitigation actions and evaluating their effectiveness.

· Ensure continuous compliance with Quality of Delivery assessment criteria throughout the project lifecycle.

· Generate and present clear, structured status and progress updates aligned with customer and Project Technical Leader expectations.

· Proactively gather and incorporate customer feedback to improve quality and delivery performance. Communicate effectively through strong written and verbal skills to support collaboration with customers and cross‑functional teams.
