Role Overview

We are looking for a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer with strong experience in Embedded C, Microcontrollers, RTOS, BSP, Device Drivers, Board Bring-up, and ECU Software Integration to work on BMW automotive ECU platforms.

The role involves developing and integrating low-level embedded software, bringing up new hardware platforms, developing device drivers, integrating RTOS and communication stacks, and supporting ECU software development and debugging.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform Microcontroller and Board Bring-up activities.
- Develop and integrate MCAL, ECAL, HAL, Device Drivers and Bootloaders.
- Develop Startup Code and Platform Initialization software.
- Configure and work with Interrupt, Memory Management and Memory Mapping.
- Integrate embedded software on current automotive ECU hardware platforms.
- Support RTOS integration, ECU integration and software debugging.
- Develop and maintain drivers for:
- CAN / LIN / Ethernet
- SPI / I2C / UART
- ADC / PWM / GPIO / DMA
- Perform software and hardware-level debugging using embedded debuggers.
- Contribute to Build Automation, Build Scripts and CI/CD infrastructure.
- Support Software Configuration and Release Management.
- Create technical/design documentation and participate in software reviews.




- Support ASPICE, Functional Safety and Cybersecurity activities.
- Collaborate with Hardware, System, Software and Testing teams.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in Embedded C.
- Experience in BSP Development and Board Bring-up.
- Strong knowledge of Microcontrollers and Embedded Systems.
- Experience with MCAL / HAL / Device Driver Development.
- Experience in RTOS-based embedded development.
- Experience with Bootloader Development.
- Hands-on experience with CAN, LIN and/or Automotive Ethernet.
- Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, PWM, GPIO or DMA.
- Experience with automotive microcontrollers such as:

- Infineon AURIX

- NXP S32

- Renesas RH850

- ST Microcontrollers
- Working knowledge of Linker Scripts, Memory Mapping and Startup Code.
- Good understanding of Build Systems, Debuggers and Git.
