We Are Hiring: Senior Design Engineer Facade

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of high-quality facade systems/other Engineering projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with different teams to ensure smooth project execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving design excellence, managing complex design challenges, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Development of Facade Systems

- Design and develop detailed facade system drawings, including shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details.
- Develop innovative design solutions for curtain walls, cladding, glazing, ACP panels, and unitized systems.
- Perform structural analysis and thermal calculations to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Review project specifications and provide design solutions to meet architectural and performance requirements.

2. Technical Review & Quality Control

- Review and approve technical drawings, structural calculations, and material specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Validate design feasibility by conducting stress and load analysis for different facade components.

3. Project Coordination & Collaboration

- Work closely with architects, project managers, production engineers, and site teams to ensure designs align with project goals.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to optimize material usage and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Provide design clarifications and technical support to the site team during the installation phase.




- Assist in value engineering by proposing cost-effective design alternatives while maintaining quality and performance.

4. Design Validation & Problem Solving

- Identify and resolve technical and design challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Address on-site design deviations and propose corrective solutions to prevent project delays.
- Review and troubleshoot design-related issues during fabrication and installation.

5. Training, Mentoring & Team Leadership

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, , and draftspersons to improve their technical skills and knowledge.
- Develop and implement best practices for facade design, ensuring consistency and quality across projects.
- Evaluate the performance of tea m members and recommend areas for improvement and skill development.

6. Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of design revisions, technical approvals, and material specifications.
- Create detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs) for procurement and fabrication.
- Develop and maintain project design schedules to ensure timely submission of deliverables.
- Document project challenges, design modifications, and lessons learned for future reference

Requirements:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facade design and engineering.
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant fields. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or HICAD for fa•ade design.

- Strong understanding of curtain walls, glazing, cladding, ACP panels, and unitized facade systems.
- Ability to coordinate with production engineers, project leads, and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and structural requirements.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
