Hiring | Senior Data Scientist – AI / Generative AI We are hiring for our client in the Financial Services / Capital Markets industry for a Senior Data Scientist to join their Advanced Technology Group.

This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced AI/ML professional with strong hands-on research and development experience, particularly in Generative AI and advanced machine learning. ? Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai

? Experience: 10–15 years

? Position: 1 Key Responsibilities

Conduct advanced research and development in areas including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision and Generative AI.

Design, develop and implement sophisticated AI/ML models to address real-world business challenges in the financial services industry.

Work with large and complex datasets to identify meaningful insights and support business decision-making.

Conduct experiments to evaluate model performance and identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.

Work closely with data scientists, engineers, cross-functional teams and academic institutions to translate research into practical AI applications.

Explore and apply emerging AI/ML techniques to solve complex problems.

Contribute to research initiatives and, where applicable, publish research papers in reputed conferences and journals.

Mentor junior data scientists and team members and contribute to building a strong culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Skills & Qualifications





10–15 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML research and development.

Strong hands-on experience in Generative AI and advanced AI technologies.

Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field, with a strong focus on AI and Machine Learning.

Deep understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and techniques, including:

Deep Learning

Reinforcement Learning

Statistical Learning

Natural Language Processing

Computer Vision

Strong programming skills in Python, R or other relevant programming languages.

Experience working with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark and SQL.

Experience with one or more cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.

Strong research, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently as well as effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience in the financial services industry and familiarity with financial industry concepts/regulations will be an advantage.

Experience mentoring or managing junior team members is preferred.
