About the Role

Applix is seeking a highly experienced Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of next-generation enterprise data platforms. This role requires a strategic technical leader with deep expertise in Big Data, Data Warehousing, Cloud Data Platforms, and Real-Time Data Integration. The ideal candidate will architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions while driving innovation in AI, advanced analytics, and enterprise data governance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the architecture and design of enterprise-scale data platforms supporting multiple business domains.
- Define and execute the organization's enterprise data architecture strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Design and implement scalable near real-time data ingestion, processing, and integration solutions.
- Architect robust Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and cloud-native data platforms for large-scale analytics.
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support scalability, performance, and integration.
- Establish enterprise data governance, security, compliance, and data quality standards.
- Lead architecture assessments, technical design reviews, and provide technical leadership to engineering teams.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical data solutions.
- Design secure enterprise data integration across applications, APIs, operational systems, and analytics platforms.
- Optimize database performance, storage strategies, indexing, and query performance.
- Drive adoption of software engineering best practices including architecture reviews, testing, documentation,



and security standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver enterprise data initiatives.
- Lead architecture roadmap planning, future-state blueprints, and technology modernization initiatives.
- Support application integration, system testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in Data Architecture or Enterprise Architecture.
- 5+ years of experience designing enterprise Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and large-scale data platforms.
- Solid expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Experience designing high-performance OLTP and OLAP architectures.
- Strong expertise in real-time and near real-time data integration architectures.
- Experience implementing enterprise data security, encryption, governance, compliance, and access control frameworks.
- Expertise in database optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and API-driven architectures.

- Demonstrated leadership in delivering large-scale enterprise transformation projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
