n Accountabilities

Develop, manage, and execute customer-focused content publishing strategies for assigned medical reference products.

Define content development plans across portfolios, including content formats, multimedia components, revision cycles, and opportunities for new products.

Plan and develop content for both digital and print delivery based on market and customer needs.

Guide authors and contributors on content preparation, digital formatting, and presentation to maximize usability and discoverability.

Develop and communicate clear guidelines covering writing standards, e-content enhancements, formats, illustrations, references, and other publishing requirements.

Review content throughout the development and production lifecycle to ensure guidelines, quality standards, and project objectives are met.

Create content maps that connect written material with relevant assets and identify opportunities for digital enhancements.





Support the planning and implementation of content delivery and updates across online publishing platforms and digital products.

Manage multiple high-priority content development projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, deliverables, and quality expectations are maintained.

Monitor project budgets and schedules, identify deviations, and work with authors or vendors to keep projects aligned with the agreed plan.

Coordinate content development assignments and digital publishing workflows with internal teams and external contributors.

Contribute to contract discussions and negotiations where required and maintain clear reporting on project progress and performance.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in content development, publishing, editorial production, or a related field, preferably involving higher education, professional, medical, or reference content.

Experience managing content development and assignments for online, e-book, or other digital publishing projects.

Practical experience working with digital content technologies, e-books, tablets, online publishing tools, and electronic content workflows.

Strong understanding of digital text and artwork formats, with basic knowledge of EPUB, HTML5, and XML as they relate to e-book publishing.

Experience managing writers, authors, subject matter experts, vendors, or other content contributors.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, schedules, and stakeholder expectations.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, internet research, and common digital content tools.

Ability to anticipate content rendering and production issues and proactively guide contributors toward effective solutions.

Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.





Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while taking ownership of assigned projects and deadlines.

An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in English, Project Management, e-Learning, Publishing, or a related discipline.

Experience working on technology projects and/or developing content for both print and digital formats.
