GCP Data Engineer

The breadth of experiences of FSRM professionals enables the practice to coordinate the delivery of a broad array of risk management services to capital market participants throughout the world in a well-integrated manner.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced GCP Data Engineer with strong expertise in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Airflow/Composer, Python, and SQL, and will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Dataflow , Airflow , and Cloud Composer
- Develop and manage data models and analytical datasets in BigQuery
- Ensure high performance, data quality, security, and reliability of data solutions
- Write efficient and reusable code using Python and SQL
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business teams to understand data requirements
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and workflows
- Implement best practices for version control, CI/CD, and documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design discussions
Required Skills Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP services, especially:
- BigQuery
- Dataflow
- Cloud Composer / Apache Airflow
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline development
- Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and transformation
- Experience working with large-scale, structured and semi-structured datasets
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices
- Experience with batch and/or streaming data processing
