Senior Azure Infrastructure & Cloud Administrator (IMMEDIATE JOINERS ONLY)

Location: Hyderabad (Must relocate)

Work Mode: Hybrid

Experience: 4 - 6 years in infrastructure administration, including at least 5 years of hands-on Azure administration

Working Days: Monday to Friday (5 Days a Week)

Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 07:30 PM

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline / practical experience

Job Summary & Purpose

Own and independently manage the organization's business-critical Microsoft Azure infrastructure, cloud security, networking, Windows and Linux servers, backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, governance and cloud-cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Infrastructure & Server Administration

- Administer Azure subscriptions, resource groups, virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, Azure Database for MySQL, Azure SQL, App Service, Marketplace SaaS and other platform services.
- Design, provision, upgrade, migrate and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure aligned with business requirements and governance standards.
- Manage production, disaster-recovery and test servers across Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, preventive maintenance and critical-incident resolution.

Linux Administration & Automation

- Install, configure, patch and manage the lifecycle of Ubuntu, Red Hat and other Linux servers hosted on Azure.
- Administer SSH access, users, permissions, security hardening, web servers, middleware and Linux application workloads.
- Troubleshoot operating-system, application and network issues and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Develop operational automation using PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI and Azure Automation where appropriate.





Cloud Security & Networking

- Manage Azure Firewall, NSGs, WAF, VPN Gateways, Route Tables, Application Gateways, Load Balancers, DNS, VNET peering, ExpressRoute and Azure Bastion.
- Implement secure connectivity between Azure, on-premises and external environments.
- Review firewall rules, identity controls, security alerts and vulnerabilities; conduct hardening and compliance reviews.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, routing and network-performance issues.

Backup, Disaster Recovery & Monitoring

- Manage Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery and Veeam-based backup solutions where applicable.
- Verify backups, conduct restoration tests and disaster-recovery drills, and maintain recovery procedures aligned with RPO and RTO requirements.
- Maintain Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, dashboards and proactive alerting for critical systems.
- Perform infrastructure capacity planning and ensure availability and performance targets are met.

Governance, Cost Optimization & Compliance

- Review Azure consumption, right-size resources and identify cost improvements across compute, storage, database, networking and backup services.
- Implement policies, standards, tagging, budget controls and monthly utilization and optimization reporting.
- Remove orphaned or underutilized resources and maintain an accurate inventory.
- Maintain infrastructure diagrams, SOPs and technical documentation; support ISO 27001, ISO 20000, cybersecurity and internal-governance audits.




- Collaborate with application owners, vendors and business stakeholders to review, deploy and document project infrastructure.

Skilled Certifications

- Required: Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent.
- Preferred: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure Security certification (AZ-500 or SC-series), ITIL Foundation, VMware VCP / Microsoft Hyper-V, or backup and DR certification such as Veeam.
- Active Azure certification(s), with willingness to renew in line with Microsoft requirements.

Skills & Abilities

- Azure compute, storage, networking, databases, App Service, monitoring, backup, Site Recovery, governance and policies.
- Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Ubuntu Linux and Red Hat Linux administration.
- Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, identity and access management, security hardening and vulnerability management.
- TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, routing and switching, and firewall administration.
- PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI and Azure Automation.
- Strong ownership, documentation, stakeholder coordination and independent problem-solving capability.
