Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop PLC-based control systems for BHS (conveyors, diverters, sorters, scanners, etc.)

- Develop, test, and maintain PLC programs (Siemens / Allen-Bradley) and associated HMI/SCADA interfaces

- Configure and integrate field devices such as sensors, encoders, VFDs, and safety systems

- Interface LLC systems with High Level Control (HLC) and IT systems (WMS, SCADA, airport systems)

- Lead FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and commissioning activities

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation and control issues during installation and operations

- Ensure compliance with safety standards (SIL, fail-secure logic, interlocks, emergency stops)

- Optimize system performance, throughput, and reliability of BHS operations

- Prepare and review technical documentation (FDS, DDS, IO lists, cause & effect, test cases)

- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and site teams

- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams for seamless project execution

- Support maintenance teams with root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong expertise in PLC programming (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley)





- Experience in BHS systems or large-scale material handling automation

- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus)

- Understanding of control philosophy, interlocks, and safety PLCs

- Hands-on experience with commissioning and troubleshooting

- Familiarity with SCADA/HMI systems (WinCC, Wonderware, Ignition, etc.)

- Ability to read electrical schematics and control panel designs

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Good communication and stakeholder management

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelors degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Automation Engineering

- 6–10+ years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in BHS or material handling systems

- Experience working in airport projects is highly preferred

- Willingness to travel and work at project sites (domestic/international)

Preferred Experience

- Exposure to airport systems integration

- Knowledge of cybersecurity in industrial automation

- Experience in retrofit/upgrade projects

- Familiarity with international standards (IEC, ISO, airport norms)
