This role in the IMPS Product Development team shall support the enhancement, management, and continuous evolution of IMPS products and services. The incumbent will contribute to strategic product initiatives, feature enhancements, process improvements, and compliance-driven changes to ensure that IMPS services remain robust, efficient, scalable, and aligned with regulatory and business requirements. The role will require close collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality payment products and services across the IMPS ecosystem.

The role shall be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements and translating them into detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and product documentation.

The incumbent will work closely with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Information Security, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate requirements definition, timely development, effective change management, and successful implementation of product enhancements and new service offerings. This position shall support member banks and ecosystem participants throughout the certification, testing, implementation, and go-live lifecycle of IMPS products and services. The role will provide both functional and technical coordination to facilitate seamless integration, ensure adherence to IMPS specifications, and support smooth adoption of new products, features, and regulatory mandates.

The role shall actively participate in the end-to-end product lifecycle, including requirement gathering, solution design discussions, impact assessment, test planning, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), implementation planning, rollout coordination, production deployment,



and post-production stabilization. The incumbent shall ensure that all product changes are thoroughly validated and delivered in accordance with business expectations and quality standards. The role shall support continuous monitoring of transaction performance, operational metrics, service availability, and business KPIs for IMPS services.

This will involve analyzing transaction trends, identifying recurring issues, performing root cause analysis, coordinating with internal teams and member banks for issue resolution, and driving initiatives aimed at improving transaction success rates, operational efficiency, and customer experience. The incumbent shall support the implementation of regulatory, compliance, and network-mandated changes by coordinating with relevant stakeholders, assessing business impact, preparing documentation, facilitating testing activities, and ensuring timely rollout of enhancements across the ecosystem. The role shall include preparation of presentations, MIS reports, dashboards, business reviews, management updates, project status reports, and analytical insights for internal leadership as well as external stakeholders.

The incumbent will be expected to derive meaningful insights from data, monitor business performance, and support decision-making through effective reporting and analysis. The role shall collaborate closely with banks, technology partners,



industry participants, and internal teams to identify emerging trends, gather industry best practices, evaluate product performance, recommend enhancements, and contribute to innovation initiatives. Additionally, the incumbent will be expected to leverage digital tools and AI-enabled solutions to improve productivity, strengthen documentation quality, accelerate analysis, and drive operational excellence within the IMPS ecosystem.

Requirements

· 3–6 years of experience in digital payments, banking products, payment switch operations, or product management.

· Exposure to product development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, BRD preparation, testing, implementation, and rollout.



Key Skills

· Product Management: Requirement analysis, BRD/FRD preparation, process design, and product enhancement.

· Payments Domain Knowledge: Understanding of how transactions, settlement processes, dispute management, member onboarding, and payment operations work.

· Analytical Skills: Robust problem-solving, transaction analysis, root cause identification, and data interpretation capabilities.

· Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of presentations, MIS reports, and management updates.

· Technical Understanding: Familiarity with payment messaging formats, APIs, banking systems, and transaction processing flows.

· AI Proficiency: Understands AI concepts and tools and applies them effectively to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and deliver outcomes efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

· Essential: Post Graduate in any stream

· Desirable: MBA, Knowledge of Switching Technology.
