Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvallur. This position is responsible for managing general ledger activities, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring accurate recording of transactions.

The Senior

Accountant will oversee accounts payable and receivable, support budgeting and forecasting, and monitor cash flow and reconciliations. The role includes maintaining compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, preparing audit schedules, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Accountant will also help improve financial processes, provide financial analysis to support decision-making,



and mentor junior accounting team members.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in core accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Knowledge of relevant tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes, with the ability to prepare documentation and respond to inquiries.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems; robust Excel skills and comfort working with financial data and reports.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and process issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and guide junior staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (such as CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead accounting role, preferably within an IT services or technology-focused organization.
