We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Accountant / Senior Accounts & Finance Executive who can independently manage the complete accounting and finance operations of our two group companies.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, GST and TDS compliance, accounts receivable and payable, banking, reconciliations, customer and vendor accounting, statutory audit coordination, management reporting, cash-flow monitoring, government/GeM billing documentation and other day-to-day financial activities.

The ideal candidate should have minimum 7 years of hands-on accounting experience. Candidates having prior experience in an ISP, Telecom, IT Services, System Integration, Networking, Data Center, Cloud, Managed Services or similar technology-based company will be strongly preferred.

The role requires someone capable of independently taking ownership of the Accounts & Finance function and providing accurate and timely financial information to management.

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Complete Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Independently manage books of accounts for both companies.
- Maintain accurate accounting entries for:
- Sales
- Purchases
- Expenses
- Receipts
- Payments
- Journal Vouchers
- Contra Entries
- Debit Notes
- Credit Notes
- Advances
- Accruals and Provisions
- Ensure proper ledger creation, grouping and accounting classification.
- Maintain company-wise separate accounting records.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly supported by invoices, approvals and relevant documentation.
- Perform regular scrutiny of General Ledger and Trial Balance.
- Identify and rectify incorrect, duplicate or pending accounting entries.
- Ensure proper month-end and year-end closing of books.

1. ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CUSTOMER BILLING & COLLECTION

The candidate will be responsible for complete customer receivable management.

Responsibilities include

- Preparation and issuance of customer Tax Invoices.
- Recurring billing for Internet Leased Lines, Broadband, Managed Services, AMC and other recurring services.
- Project-based billing for IT/System Integration and infrastructure projects.
- Event/project billing wherever applicable.
- Maintaining customer-wise outstanding statements.
- Maintaining invoice ageing reports.
- Regular follow-up for outstanding payments.
- Coordination with Sales, Technical and Project teams before invoicing wherever service activation/completion confirmation is required.
- Tracking payment due dates.
- Customer ledger reconciliation.
- Adjustment of TDS deductions against customer payments.
- Verification of payment receipts and UTR details.
- Sharing payment reminders and Statements of Account with customers.
- Tracking security deposits, EMDs and other recoverable amounts.
- Escalating overdue payments to management.
- Preparing ageing reports such as:
- 0–30 Days
- 31–60 Days
- 61–90 Days
- 91–180 Days
- Above 180 Days
- Monitoring high-value and long-pending receivables.
- Providing weekly collection status to management.

1. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE – VENDOR MANAGEMENT

- Verify vendor invoices before booking.
- Check GST details, PO/WO references and supporting documents.
- Maintain vendor-wise outstanding statements.
- Track vendor payment due dates.
- Prepare payment proposals for management approval.
- Process approved vendor payments.
- Ensure applicable TDS deductions.
- Vendor ledger reconciliation.
- Follow up for vendor debit/credit notes.
- Maintain advance-to-vendor records.
- Adjustment of vendor advances against invoices.
- Ensure duplicate invoices/payments are prevented.
- Coordinate with Purchase/Technical/Project teams for invoice verification.
- Maintain proper documentation for all vendor payments.

1. GST COMPLIANCE

Candidate should have strong practical knowledge of GST.

Responsibilities include

- GST invoice verification.
- GST sales and purchase reconciliation.
- Input Tax Credit reconciliation.
- GSTR-1 preparation/review.
- GSTR-3B preparation/review.
- GSTR-2B reconciliation.
- Identification of ITC mismatches.
- Follow-up with vendors for missing invoices/ITC.
- Proper treatment of Debit Notes and Credit Notes.
- E-Invoice compliance wherever applicable.
- E-Way Bill compliance wherever applicable.
- GST ledger reconciliation with books.
- Coordination with CA/consultant for GST filings and notices.
- Maintaining GST-related records and supporting documents.
- Assistance in GST assessments, notices and departmental queries.

1. TDS & INCOME TAX RELATED WORK

- Determine applicable TDS sections and rates.
- Deduct TDS correctly from vendor/other payments.
- Maintain TDS payable records.
- Prepare data for TDS returns.
- Coordinate timely deposit of TDS.
- TDS return reconciliation.
- Form 16A coordination.
- Reconcile TDS receivable with Form 26AS/AIS wherever applicable.
- Follow up with customers for incorrect/missing TDS credits.
- Assist CA/management in Income Tax assessments and annual return requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation for statutory compliance.

1. BANKING & BANK RECONCILIATION

- Daily/regular monitoring of company bank accounts.




- Record bank receipts and payments in accounting software.
- Perform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Identify unidentified credits/debits.
- Verify bank charges and interest entries.
- Maintain cheque/NEFT/RTGS/payment records.
- Prepare payment files/statements for management approval.
- Coordinate with banks wherever required.
- Maintain records related to:
- Fixed Deposits
- Bank Guarantees
- Performance Bank Guarantees
- EMDs
- Security Deposits
- OD/CC facilities, if applicable
- Track expiry and renewal dates of BGs/FDs and similar financial instruments.

1. ISP / TELECOM / IT INDUSTRY ACCOUNTING

Candidates with experience in the following will be preferred:
- Internet Leased Line billing.
- ISP recurring billing.
- Bandwidth purchase and sale accounting.
- Telecom/vendor recurring charges.
- Data Center/Colocation billing.
- Cloud/Hosting billing.
- AMC/Managed Services billing.
- Software/License billing.
- IT Hardware purchase and sale.
- Network equipment accounting.
- System Integration project accounting.
- Customer installation/activation billing.
- One-time installation charges.
- Recurring monthly/quarterly/annual charges.
- Security deposits and refundable deposits.
- Vendor bandwidth reconciliation.
- Customer bandwidth/service billing reconciliation.
- Understanding of SAC/HSN classification applicable to IT/Telecom products and services.

1. GOVERNMENT / GEM / PSU BILLING

Experience in Government/PSU billing will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities may include

- GeM invoice documentation.
- Government customer billing.
- Purchase Order / Work Order verification.
- Invoice submission as per PO/contract terms.
- Tracking invoice acceptance.
- Tracking payment status.
- Coordination for CRAC/acceptance documentation wherever applicable.
- Maintaining EMD/BG/PBG/Security Deposit records.
- Tracking retention money.
- Government/PSU customer ledger reconciliation.
- Maintaining tender/project-wise financial documentation.
- Coordination with Tender and Project teams regarding billing milestones.
- Ensuring invoice documentation complies with customer contractual requirements.

1. PROJECT ACCOUNTING & PROFITABILITY

- Maintain project-wise revenue and expense records.
- Track Purchase Order vs actual expenses.
- Monitor project billing.
- Maintain unbilled revenue information wherever required.
- Track advances received from customers.
- Track advances paid to vendors.
- Calculate project-level profitability.
- Identify cost overruns.
- Prepare project-wise financial summaries for management.
- Coordinate with project/execution teams for project closure and final billing.

1. FIXED ASSETS

- Maintain Fixed Asset Register.
- Record purchases of:
- Servers
- Routers
- Switches
- Firewalls
- Access Points
- Laptops/Desktops
- UPS
- Racks
- Network Equipment
- Office Equipment
- Other Assets
- Asset capitalization.
- Depreciation working in coordination with CA/auditor.
- Asset disposal/write-off accounting.
- Asset transfer records where applicable.
- Physical asset verification support.

1. PAYROLL & EMPLOYEE-RELATED ACCOUNTING

The candidate should be capable of handling or supervising:
- Monthly salary workings.
- Salary payable entries.
- Employee advances.
- Salary deductions.
- Reimbursements.
- Expense claims.
- Full & Final Settlement accounting.
- PF/ESI coordination wherever applicable.
- TDS on salary coordination.
- Employee ledger reconciliation.
- Coordination with HR for payroll inputs.

1. MONTHLY CLOSING & MIS

Candidate must prepare accurate MIS for management.

1. CASH FLOW & WORKING CAPITAL MANAGEMENT

- Maintain daily/weekly cash-flow position.
- Prepare projected collections and payments.
- Highlight expected cash shortages in advance.
- Prioritize payments based on management instructions.
- Monitor receivable collection cycles.
- Monitor payable cycles.
- Support management in working-capital planning.
- Ensure funds are planned for:
- Salaries
- GST
- TDS
- Vendor Payments
- Bandwidth Payments
- Data Center Charges
- Statutory Payments
- Project Purchases
- Other operational commitments

1. AUDIT & STATUTORY COMPLIANCE

- Coordinate with Statutory Auditor/CA.
- Provide ledgers, vouchers and supporting documents.




- Prepare schedules required for annual audit.
- Resolve audit queries.
- Assist in finalization of accounts.
- Maintain proper audit trail.
- Ensure accounting records are maintained in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Maintain organized digital and physical documentation.
- Coordinate for annual statutory filings wherever accounts-related information is required.

1. INTER-COMPANY ACCOUNTING

As the position will manage accounts of two group companies, the candidate must ensure:
- Proper company-wise accounting.
- No incorrect mixing of expenses/revenues between entities.
- Accurate inter-company ledger maintenance.
- Inter-company invoice accounting wherever applicable.
- Inter-company payment/receipt reconciliation.
- Monthly reconciliation of inter-company balances.
- Proper documentation for inter-company transactions.
- Timely reporting of unreconciled differences to management.

1. DOCUMENTATION & FINANCIAL CONTROL

Candidate will be expected to establish strong financial discipline.

This includes

- No payment without proper supporting documents and approval.
- No invoice booking without verification.
- Proper maker-checker process.
- Proper approval trail.
- Vendor bank-detail verification.
- Customer/vendor master maintenance.
- Prevention of duplicate payments.
- Proper invoice numbering/control.
- Proper document filing.
- Maintaining soft copies of invoices, POs, WOs, payment proofs and statutory documents.
- Ensuring accounting data confidentiality and integrity.

1. SOFTWARE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

Candidate should have strong working knowledge of:

1. REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

Preferred qualifications:
- B.Com / M.Com
- MBA Finance
- CA Inter / CMA Inter candidates may be preferred
- Other equivalent Finance & Accounting qualifications may also be considered based on relevant experience.

Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant hands-on experience in Accounts & Finance.

The ideal candidate would have: 7–12+ years of Accounts & Finance experience, preferably in an ISP/Telecom/IT/System Integration organization, with strong hands-on command over Tally Prime, GST, TDS, Advanced Excel, customer/vendor reconciliation, receivable collection, banking, audits, government/GeM billing, project accounting and management MIS.

The candidate should be capable of independently managing the complete Accounts & Finance operations of both group companies and reporting directly to the management.Role & responsibilities
