Security & Loss Prevention | Last Mile Operations

Role Objective The SLP Manager will be responsible for identifying, preventing and investigating security and operational loss risks across Last Mile operations. The role will protect Amazon's people, inventory, shipments, data and physical assets while ensuring compliance with security standards and reducing business losses.

Key Responsibilities

1. Loss Prevention & Risk Management

- Identify security vulnerabilities, operational risks and potential loss areas across Last Mile operations.
- Develop and implement preventive controls to reduce theft, diversion, shipment loss, COD loss and other operational losses.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans.
- Monitor loss trends and identify recurring root causes.

2. Investigation & Incident Management

- Lead investigations related to theft, shipment loss, fraud, diversion, policy violations and other security incidents.
- Analyse data, system reports, CCTV and other available evidence.
- Conduct interviews and establish root cause and responsibility.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Handle complex and high-value investigations.

3. Vendor / DSP / Partner Management

- Conduct security due diligence of Delivery Service Providers, logistics partners, vendors and other business partners.
- Assess partner security controls and compliance.
- Conduct audits and ensure closure of identified gaps.
- Work with operations teams to improve partner accountability and reduce losses.

4. Audit & Compliance

- Conduct regular physical security and process audits.




- Ensure compliance with Amazon security standards and policies.
- Identify non-compliances and drive corrective action plans.
- Track audit findings and ensure timely closure.

5. Last Mile Security

- Support security across transportation, sortation and delivery operations.
- Identify risks related to shipment handling, rider operations, vehicle movement, delivery and returns.
- Develop controls to protect shipments and assets throughout the Last Mile journey.
- Support security planning for current stations, routes and business initiatives.

6. Data Analytics & Loss Reporting

- Analyse loss, incident and security data to identify trends and vulnerabilities.
- Develop dashboards and metrics to track SLP performance.
- Track key indicators such as shipment loss, COD loss, theft, fraud, recovery and repeat incidents.
- Use data to drive preventive actions and continuous improvement.

7. Stakeholder Management

- Partner with Operations, HR, Legal, Finance, Transportation, Customer Service and other Amazon teams.
- Coordinate with external security agencies, law enforcement and regulatory authorities when required.
- Provide security inputs for new business initiatives and operational changes.

8. Awareness & Training

- Drive security and loss-prevention awareness programs.
- Train associates, riders,



vendors and operational teams on security policies and preventive controls.
- Build awareness around fraud, theft, shipment handling and incident reporting.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in Security, Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, Investigations, Risk Management, Logistics or related areas.
- Experience managing teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and data analysis.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, Last Mile or supply chain will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and influencing skills.
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and external agencies.
