Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for sea freight services to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service levels. Identify, evaluate, and select carriers and service providers to establish and maintain strategic partnerships. Build and maintain solid relationships with key carriers and vendors to ensure smooth operations and service continuity.
- Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and conduct detailed cost analysis to develop competitive pricing strategies and identify cost-saving opportunities. Negotiate rates and terms with carriers, vendors, and service providers to achieve cost savings while maintaining service quality. Maintain and update pricing databases, tariff structures, and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to sea freight expenses.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts with carriers and service providers, ensuring compliance with terms, SLAs, and KPIs. Develop comprehensive technical and commercial proposals for sea freight services, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with client requirements. Coordinate with sales, operations, finance, and other departments to gather necessary information and prepare proposals.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and business opportunities. Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors affecting sea freight, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Track and analyze carrier performance, including transit times, reliability, and service quality. Utilize data analytics tools to generate regular and ad-hoc reports on sourcing activities, cost savings, market conditions, and freight spend.



Provide timely and accurate pricing information and regular updates to internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to sourcing and pricing strategies. Provide support to the sales team with competitive pricing solutions, respond to customer inquiries, and assist in resolving escalated issues related to sea freight services.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in sea freight sourcing, pricing, and proposal development. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance overall supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.

- Recommend the budget required from the section and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring unit activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.

- Ensure the effective implementation of policies, procedures, and controls covering all areas of assigned activities.
