Responsible for managing the overall Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities related to the CNC VMC Machine Shop, ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, components, tools, consumables, and other production requirements. The candidate should have good knowledge of SAP MM/PP, material planning, inventory management, and CNC VMC shop-floor operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage overall SCM activities for the CNC VMC Machine Shop.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, tools, fixtures, gauges, and consumables.
- Handle SAP transactions related to Material Master, BOM, PR, PO, Production Orders, GR, GI, Stock Transfer, and Material Reservation.
- Monitor MRP and material requirements based on production plans.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and other departments.
- Monitor material shortages and ensure timely resolution to avoid production stoppages.
- Track inventory levels, excess stock, slow-moving materials, and material consumption.
- Ensure proper material issue, return, and transfer between Stores and the CNC VMC Machine Shop.
- Monitor physical stock vs. SAP stock and support stock reconciliation.
- Coordinate with Purchase/Vendors regarding material delivery and pending orders.
- Ensure availability of cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, gauges, and other machining consumables.
- Generate and maintain daily/weekly material status,



shortage, inventory, and SAP reports.
- Analyse SAP data for material movement, stock availability, and pending requirements.
- Maintain SCM-related records and documentation.
- Follow FIFO, inventory control, 5S, safety, and company procedures.
- Identify material-related issues and escalate critical shortages to the concerned teams.
- Support continuous improvement activities in SCM and CNC VMC shop-floor operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in SCM / Material Planning / Stores / Production Planning in a manufacturing environment.
- Valuable understanding of CNC VMC Machine Shop operations.
- Working knowledge of SAP MM / PP modules is mandatory/preferred.
- Knowledge of MRP, PR, PO, GR, GI, Stock Transfer, Reservation, and Production Orders.
- Good knowledge of Inventory Management and Material Planning.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and SAP reporting.
- Good communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a CNC machining / precision manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 5–8 years of relevant experience in SCM / Material Planning / PPC / Stores in a manufacturing industry.
