SAP Basis Consultant JD

SAP Basis with 8+ years of experience in SAP infrastructure, system connectivity, and integrations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and ensuring the seamless operation of SAP landscapes while maintaining availability, security, and performance across enterprise-wide SAP systems and Integrated Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Basis Administration: SAP Systems Monitoring, Logging & dispatching incidents and escalation to next level as needed. End-to-end management of SAP landscapes, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, and other SAP components.

SAP Infrastructure Management: Oversee SAP system architecture, servers, cloud environments, and hybrid deployments.

System Performance & Optimization: Monitor and fine-tune SAP system performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization.

Upgrades & Migrations: Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, patching, and OS/DB migrations with minimal downtime.

Security & Compliance: Implement SAP security policies, manage user roles, and ensure compliance with industry standards (SOX, GDPR, ISO).

SAP Transport Management: Manage and optimize SAP transport systems, ensuring smooth deployment of changes.

High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Knowledge of Design, implement, and maintain SAP HA/DR solutions, including SAP HANA System Replication.

Infrastructure Connectivity & Integrations:

Manage and troubleshoot SAP system connectivity across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.





Ensure seamless integration with external systems such as third-party applications, middleware, and APIs.

Optimize network configurations, VPNs, firewalls, and SAP routers for secure and stable connectivity.

Database Administration Support: Collaborate with database teams to ensure optimal SAP HANA, Oracle performance.

Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain up-to-date system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelors in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience: 08 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration with extensive knowledge of infrastructure, integrations and Operations.

SAP System Expertise: In-depth understanding of SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Solution Manager, and SAP Cloud Platform.

Infrastructure & Connectivity:

Experience in managing SAP on cloud (AWS, Azure, SAP BTP) and on-premises infrastructure.

Robust knowledge of networking, VPNs, firewall rules, and SAP Router configurations.

Performance Tuning: Proven ability to analyse and optimize system performance, memory, CPU, and database tuning.

Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of SAP security best practices, encryption, and audit logging.

Database Understanding: Hands-on experience with SAP HANA, Oracle, or MS SQL databases.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and manage complex SAP landscapes.

Proactive approach to work, issue resolution and communication.
